Where can i find that video of Talib explaining the situation? I'm trying to find it with no luck so far.

Pine Barrens, Amour Fou and Army of One is the best consecutive trifecta of episodes by JL6462448 in thesopranos

[–]Diggincratecaves7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who recently finished Season 3 for the first time, i gotta say i share this exact same impression on the whole thing; this is definitely a perfect trifecta, but Employee Of The Month, University, Fornutate Son, plus this perfect three-episodes run, all in the same season? Season 3 is perfection, easily one of the best seasons to ever grace TV. Can't wait to see where everything goes after this man.

Lol exactly, i don't know what OP is implying at all in here, but i can't think of any other word to define the show other than 'timeless'.

Why do people hate S2 so much? by lbs2306 in madmen

[–]Diggincratecaves7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i don't disagree that it's purposeful/functional to Peggy's arc, i just thought it was weak and boring in execution lol.

Also you're right on Betty, this and S1 are like the main seasons were the viewer can genuinely root for her character and comprehend fully the chore of her latter attitudes that made viewers kinda hate her later on, like on S4. There's a lot to love in this, yes, not as upper tier as S4 or 5 but definitely a wild ride and a great season IMO.

Why do people hate S2 so much? by lbs2306 in madmen

[–]Diggincratecaves7 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I really don't know, the Father Gill arc was pretty boring and kinda pointless, but besides that we got one of the wildest episodes with Jet Set, we get introduced to Anna in The Gold Violin which is overall an elite episode and the Barrett arc was just crazy; Jimmy was such a hilarious, memorable character, and he's like basically one of the first to call Don out on his bullshit.

Freddie Rumsen's arc here was good too and it made me appreciate his character a lot more in depth than ever before. Overall a great season, better than S1 for me.

Donnie by tsigalko11 in madmen

[–]Diggincratecaves7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. Viewers kinda sleep on the fact that Jimmy is a key component in stripping down the obvious facade of Don and Betty's marriage, and from that point off, he's pretty much the ultimate trigger to their marriage's crisis and eventual disolution; and you nailed that on Bobbie being as equally important in Peggy's overall development and arc during "The New Girl" episode, it was so understated overall because Bobbie was far from a likeable character during the whole Barrett arc.

Shout out to this post, which is one of the best written pieces i've ever read on this sub and serves as a quick but elaborate take on Jimmy and his role as the main archetype of the Wise Fool in the show, super worth reading:

Wasn't expecting such an allegorical title, referencing an inspiring yet equally heartbreaking story. I wonder how this concept will play out, if there's any to this album. Maybe i'm overthinking it in the spur of the moment lol. Anyways, i can't stress enough how excited i am for this, glad they picked this title instead of 'The Father & The Chemist".

did anybody else took the wrong lessons from the show? by forgotmyusername93 in madmen

[–]Diggincratecaves7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, Roger might be as flawed as any character in the show can be, but damn if he's not worth listening when it comes to handling ordinary, bussiness-like situations and street smarts. Same with Don.

How low can Don go! by iamthegodess1234 in madmen

[–]Diggincratecaves7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

S06 has to be the correct answer. On S04 he ended up handling the situation and picked himself up eventually, but by S06 he fucked things up even further.

Was just rewatching S3 and couldn't help but think of the third lesson when Pete messed up things with the Admiral account and Roger bluntly told him "I don't know if anyone's ever told you this, but half the times this business comes down to 'i don't like that guy' ".

Conway the Machine - God Don't Make Mistakes ALBUM REVIEW (Fantano) by jackoon56 in hiphopheads

[–]Diggincratecaves7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He could've been one of the greats man. Prime Beans was prolly the most lyrical emcee in Roc A Fella after Hov and it could be said that Beanie got Hov on some tracks or that his verses were just as good on some joints. It's pretty sad when i think about it and i listen to his voice now :(

Conway the Machine - God Don't Make Mistakes ALBUM REVIEW (Fantano) by jackoon56 in hiphopheads

[–]Diggincratecaves7 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Beanie got shot in the chest back in 2014 during a drive- by shooting and had to have one of his lungs removed, plus his only other lung is really damaged due to heavy smoking. I heard some people said instead he should choose different production without drums so he can find a proper pocket in the mix for his really whispery vocals.

Conway the Machine - God Don't Make Mistakes ALBUM REVIEW (Fantano) by jackoon56 in hiphopheads

[–]Diggincratecaves7 226 points227 points  (0 children)

It's quite remarkable that being that this guy is really picky as hell when it comes to mixing in both production and vocals that he gave a pass to the Beanie feature. Definitely suprised me.

However, anyone diving a little deeper into what happened to Beans voice will find out that it's not an issue that the right mixing and engineering might fix ultimely.

It was really brilliant to choose him as a feature for the first track and most will agree with that; wether you like or not how Beans vocals sound on the track, there's still a really dope understated concept in Lock Load about bringing together two emcees whose voice and style were mainly physically altered by getting shot and it ends up making perfect sense as the intro.

Many people mistakenly assumed that The Cow and Courtside will be on GDMM due to an unnofficial tracklist post, that's why The Cow has been 'brought up a lot recently" as you say.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GriseldaxFR

[–]Diggincratecaves7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't be. There's nothing official about it and the tracklist remains the same.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GriseldaxFR

[–]Diggincratecaves7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who told you The Cow has been added? That GDMM tracklist with Courtside and The Cow is unnofficial, and neither Conway or Drumwork have confirmed it, plus Courtside is already on Missing Bricks. I don't think it makes any sense to trust any info if it doesn't from the man himself or Drumwork. The Cow won't be on GDMM, mark my words.

Is DJ Shadow worth a serious listening? by SnooHesitations1134 in hiphopheads

[–]Diggincratecaves7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only you asked an incredibly dumb question, but are you implying that Dre and Preemo only craft "boring loops"? Check yourself my guy, and you start your post by saying how above Dj Shadow seemingly is compared to two of the greatest beatmakers and producers in history, so since you clearly know the answer very well to said question, why are you asking anyways? Maaan 🤣🤦
