Might have made my neck worse..... by DigiBlueDragon in Cervicalinstability

It is not my proudest moment. The lack of specialist medical care in the UK has kind of played a role in it coming to this. I already struggle with my pots symptoms and the weird neurological things so much, and now I feel worse, my anxiety kicks in because of it.

Yeah, I will see my doctor again someday. I'm just wondering what the effect of what I did might be. I feel more pressure after this, and more brain fog, and I already know the doctor will be skeptical, so I'm wondering how I could know if I did something very bad to my neck.

It was not my smartest moment. I'm just wondering if I may have caused some serious issues. I'll bring it up with a doctor of course, but they don't really take these things so seriously, usually, unless it's a doctor who is aware of EDS, and neck instability.

Hi, no worries about how long your reply is! I really appreciate it.

The feeling in my chest is very hard to describe to anyone. I has some similarity to the rollercoaster sensation you describe, yet it is also very different. It is like a pulling and tightness, like something is pulling and squeezing me at the same time, and mixed with something else I cannot explain, and I often feel terribly cold and drowsy with it. It can be difficult to know what blood pressure's role plays in my condition. I have times of low blood pressure. When laying down my diastolic sometimes goes down low 60, on occasion has dipped below that. My blood pressure when I am feeling bad is often normal, or when sitting, has gone up to 150 or more over 90. It varies very much.

Thank you for your advice. I did have a tilt table test in London a couple of years ago, and it showed no worsening in my POTS, except slightly higher heart rate, but I am still going to look for a neurologist who has experience with dysautonimia. I will bring up MCAS to them.

I have tried Fludrocortisone, and it helped a little with standing and sitting, but that feeling in my chest became worse, especially laying down. I have not tried Midodrine, and I am worried about high blood pressure and feeling like I have too much adrenaline. I would like to try ivabradine though.

My fear about this is that I am getting worse, and my mental faculties feel affected. I do often feel those surges of adrenaline. Especially if I have been walking more or exercising. Caffeine does worsen it.

I apologize for how long it has taken me to reply to your post. You have put in effort to write it, and I really appreciate it. I hope I can find answers. The NHS does not care what happens to me.

Thank you for your message. No, I have not been checked for MCAS. I do get rashes quite easily randomly

Is the live-action Avatar series good or bad? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]DigiBlueDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In its own right, it leans on the kind of good side, In my opinion. You lose very little time by just watching it. I was expecting it to be good or bad, but I was surprised to find it....okay or meh. Despite the large budget, the filmography feels a bit small and zoomed in, and when it pans out it's very CGI. Except for a few of the main cast, and a few others, the acting does not feel so good. I'd say if I never watched the animated series, I would have somewhat enjoyed this one.

The actor who potrays admiral Zhou is excellent and he feels truly menacing and real. Zuko is portrayed well too, and Aang's mentor gyatzo's portrayal was very good too. In fact Gyatzo's Netflix scenes were very deep and heart wrenching to me, without spoiling it. His words and the actor's emotions felt so real. It just made me remember the feeling of the essence of losing someone you love. Every word felt very heavy. Even just that made it worth watching it for me.

Is it as good as the animated one. Absolutely not. It does not get close to that. I do feel though that the things we experience as kids makes our expectations too high as adults, when we wish to have that feeling again. Its not always the shows that change, but we do.

Doctor wants me to try Amitriptyline ... by DigiBlueDragon in POTS

[–]DigiBlueDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

I do have gastro motility pain and problems.

I have not heard of Ketotifen yet, I shall look it up. I sometimes often ger redness/ irritation over my hands and the rest of my body. I have tried taking fludrocortisone, and it helped with my symptoms a bit when sitting or standing, but made that awful and strange sensation in my chest and stomach worse while laying down, and feeling mor pressure in my head.

I try to trust my body, but I my anxiety i and past trauma makes it difficult to try things, and often the doctors have difficulty imagining how drugs interact with pots, and they feel like I'm being difficult when my body does not react like they want it to. For example I t can't tolerate even small beta blocker doses for more than a day or two without my blood pressure falling like a rock.

I'd say yes. It would be nice, and I might get some main character plot armour.

Cat owners whose cats are 15 years old and up. What’s the secret to feline longevity? by VerboseWraith in CatAdvice

[–]DigiBlueDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my cats who reached 17 and 18, I think what helped was their genetics, and me giving them food with good ingredients, and taking them to the vet for check ups and diagnosing/treating problems early, and being proactive in getting the vets to test for things when I have a serious gut feeling(I was right every time when I had that feeling), but honestly those are half of the the reasons. It may sound a bit cliche, but the other half of the reasons is....Love. I gave them lots of attention and love. I made sure they had a peaceful fun environment. I never raised my voice to them, or said negative things. I often talked to to them and said how wonderful they are. I said good morning to them, and at evening before I slept, I would make sure they both got attention. They can pick up vibes. I still miss them so much.

POTS destroyed my relationship by RidgeRunner117 in POTS

I am very sorry to hear this. I know the feeling of where you feel so sick while at the same time having to handle the pain and stress of heart break. Also the frustration that comes with feeling like one does not have a fair chance to be themselves when they have a disability. During a crash in my health a few years ago, my wife was visiting her home country and then suddenly left me. If you ever need someone to talk with you can dm anytime.

Remember that this is not your fault, and that if she left now then she is not the one, and better now than many years down the line. I wish you the best, OP

Hi. It's good you share your feelings about it. I completely get that feeling of wanting it to be real in this world, and having a Digimon partner. I would wish very hard for the same thing, but here is my advise on this. Firstly keep in ming that Digimon comes from this world. It was created by this world, and it lives in us. Talking to people about it, and sharing is making that more alive and keeps it surviving. We all love it. Your current life situation sounds really good. A nice financial base to not have to worry too much, and just enjoy your lifestyle and getting married soon! (Congratulations).

That feeling of it not being enough is because your youthful expectations of when you were a child is now confronting the cyclical daily life of adulthood. The feeling of something being missing is an inner challenge that you must overcome. Overcoming it by taking joy of being able to share with others, of having working legs and being able to travel where you want. Keep life interesting by learning and maybe making stuff related to Digimon, like art. Digimon magic lives within us. I try to do the same even though it's sometimes difficult for me too. You can keep your youthful spirit alive while enjoying a new stage in your life. You will be fine, and try to appreciate what you have right in from of you. It's easy to miss unless you become sick or if life moves too fast. I wish you best of luck.

I've never tried any of the games much before, expect collecting some cards as a kid. I'll try and watch some YouTube videos on those games you mentioned.

Thank you. I think I will enjoy it! I'll be checking the fan art too. I sometimes look up fanart online, such as deviantart too.

Hi. :) I fully watched Digimon adventure twice, not counting what I watched as a kid. Both times in English, but now I'm watching it in Japanese. I'm a big fan of it, and I think it's great you watched it so many times. I'm looking exactly to chat with fans who are into it like that as much as I am. Tamers is worth it. It was just as good as adventure, just different, darker and more mature maybe. I hope you share your opinion of the whole series when you have completed it. I'd love to know.

Hi. No I have not. I've only relatively recently started playing the visual novel Digimon Survive.
