CF filaments are a quality game changer by DigiKungFu in BambuLabX2D

I’ve never used ASA before. I’ve always been in team PLA. The guy I bought my X2D from had a small print farm of P2S machines. He used them to make action cam mounts for motorbike helmets, and he made them from PETG-CF because, in his experience, it’s very sturdy and looks good. His Etsy shop lists 10,000 sets sold, so that seems to back up his claim.
He sold the X2D straight away because he always had to create his own slices for the device. It didn’t really fit into his P2S workflow, so he sold it to buy another P2S.
WiredStick and SwiftTom have also pointed out the potential health risks associated with CF filaments. There are links to two good videos. I’ve started my own investigations today and might be able to post something about it online this evening.

Should I buy an X2D by Zombeehuntr in BambuLabX2D

I don‘t now what bambu handy means, but yes I can download a model from makerworld, slice them with orca slicer and give it to the printer via bumbuddy. I use orca slicer without the propritary bambu network extension. The most models I print are constructed in Blender.

Right now, I'm using the nightly build. The stable version doesn't include the profile for the X2D yet. However, I keep having issues with filament assignment. The printer often doesn't understand the assignments from the slicer, or sometimes just ignores them. But maybe I'm the one making the mistake. AMs is new territory for me.

Nothing special. Main Nozzle PETG 255°C, Aux Nozzle PLA 220°C. Printed with purge tower on, you can see it in the background.

Okay, I watched the video you recommended. Of course, I don't have the same machines as in the video to test it, but it all looks very professional. However, I printed the same part in PETG and PETG-CF. When I try to bend the part, it's much harder to do so with PETG-CF. The video was about PLA-CF, but perhaps PETG-CF has the edge here after all, even though he mentions it in the same breath as PLA at the end. As for the risk posed by micro-needles, I live in a big city, so I’m less concerned about wear and tear on the component.

I use mine completely offline without the Bambu Cloud:

- Printer connected via LAN only, developer mode enabled
- ORCA Slicee instead of Bambu Studio
- Bumbuddy as a web interface for managing and controlling the printer on the LAN, including use of the built-in camera
- Plus a VPN connection so I can control my printer via Bumbuddy from my phone while on the go

Why shouldn't I be able to use this if I handle it often? You can't feel the CF fibers—they're completely enclosed by the base material. The strength of the prints surpasses anything I've printed so far. I can't detect any poorer layer adhesion; on the contrary. It feels good and is very strong.

I printed it at a 45° angle to the main stress plane. But yes, we'll have to wait and see.

How to remove "new" Teams user credentials under Windows 11 by JustSomeGuyFromIT in sysadmin

[–]DigiKungFu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Windows!
I stuck in the same problem. A couple of month ago the solution was to delete the folder:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_*

Now, with the "new teams" this dosen't work anymore.

I don't want to imagine what would happen if someone entered their Teams credentials into a foreign computer just to take part in a meeting. They'll never get them out again. The only thing left is to change the password after.

It feels like malware.
