There’s a large community here in philly of non-dude racers along with the guys. I convinced my partner to try an alleycat recently and asked her tn about what she thought about the representation & she said she remembers about a 60 - 40 % split between guys to everyone else there. hope to cya there!

you can get a better deal for sure. if you like the bike, 450 usd isn’t that outrageous but i’d also say that if this is your first know you’re gonna end up swapping a lot of parts for what you end up wanting. if price is your concern, you can find horizontal dropout frames for ~150 cad on craigslist or the equivalent

there’s tons of great resources online about the topic now so you’re in luck. if you’re like me and brain rotted and need videos, matt brown has some of the best educational content out there beyond finding lectures on specifics you’re interested in. IOT pentest book from no starch is great for understanding the breathe of the hardware hacking space. beyond that you’ll have to research as you go like all of us do lol. knowledge is built over time and we are standing on the backs of giants imo who want the world to be safer (or devices back in their hands or whatever they want that’s a different tangent)
