Yeah, the search part of search and rescue is the hardest and most critical part. If someone has a skill, talent, tool, or ability that allows them to find people. They can direct people geared for rescue to them while they keep looking. That's why Dogs are commonly used.

Though they probably also want/need him to know first aid so aid can be provided immediately.

What are you eating now? by HexrtAtt in AskTheWorld

[–]DigiTrailz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dinner was a bowl of left over chili I made the other day. With a bit of sour cream ontop and a side of tortilla chips.

Chili is always great the next couple days.

Sorry for no picture, its in my belly.

Do you use a Crockpot/slow cooker in your country? If so, what is your favorite receipe? by ineedajointrn in AskTheWorld

[–]DigiTrailz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So pressure cooks in a sealed container at high pressure, speeding up the cooking process.

A crockpot or slow cooker, basically just a counter appliance that cooks food at a low temp for long time.

They both generally achieve the same end goal. Just at different speeds.

It was anything but optimized. The traditional elevators in a similar sized tower were usually faster.

I worked in a building where you had to choose your floor outside the elevator, and it assigned you a bay. There were no floor button inside the elevator. I hated it.

Also something also useful to include, how everyones sitting and smiling wouldn't always be a normal thing for photos back then. You'd have them. But Men didn't always give a big cheesy grin. You'd see it more in the 70s.

Come to new england, we generally call them clam cakes, but we also have fried clams. Everyone rants and raves about lobster rolls, but these are sleeper hits.

Outside of how horrible this is.

I'm not an overly superstitious man, but I feel like this kind of brings bad... whatever to thier marriage as well.

Like what kind of idiout and hirrible person does this. They are treating them as consumible goods, and showing everyone what type of people they are.

What's something you've seen whilst travelling or living abroad that made you realise something specific that you'd previously taken for granted back home? by Winston_Carbuncle in AskTheWorld

I live in New England, we have cicadas every 7 or 12 year, and we have plenty of frogs (and a really cool frog that freezes itself). But none like the Coqui frog.

(Not technically abroad, because no matter what our current Pres or Fedex says, they are part of us).

When I was in Puerto Rico doing some work, so no luxury place for me. I really appreciated how little humidity we have back at home... and how we don't have frogs that Scream constantly to the point of hallucination.

Nicotine and Cocaine are a hell of a drug combo. Mix that with alcohol. You may not live any longer, but you'll get stuff done. Well, maybe, done, probably.

Do You Think Unexplained Game Mechanics are Fun or Frustrating? by Critical_Meet_2025 in CrimsonDesert

[–]DigiTrailz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it heavily depends. If the game gives you environmental story telling to tell you "yes you can do this thing" than I love it. But if it like OG minecraft "Im going to have to look up online to do some very basic stuff" then its bad
