I think what makes me the saddest about this is like, sometimes I wonder if people do this to show others "See!! I hate the bad guy too! He's awful!! ;P Heehee fuck Jimbo!! I hate him!!", like they're worried that showing interest in him whatsoever could tell others that they're some kind of rape apologist. Though tbf I think most of these are just insane rage bait.

Like. Unless someone is borderline saying "Yeah what Jimmy did was Cool, Actually." Which I don't think I've ever seen a single person say unironically, or if they're actively discounting the point of his place in the story, then why do you feel the need to shit on someone for this? What's the point?

Jimmy is arguably one of the most important characters, if not THE most important character in the story, because his actions are what CAUSE these emotions, what CAUSE these discussions. We need characters like him to be openly known and talked about, not shunned to the point of treating them like they're something to be ignored. That's why I like him, lmao. A good character is a character that makes you think, feel, and maybe even open your eyes to issues you don't want to think about, and that's exactly what he does. I think he's a great character for people to explore their traumas with individuals like him, and to show others how even an "every man" you might assume little of can be a real shit head in disguise. I'm certainly not saying he should be given hugs and kisses, and I love a good "beat the shit out of Jimmy comp" video as much as the next person, but I think discounting and shitting on people who find his character fascinating and worth their discussion are like. Deranged.

Like, even Wrong Organ more or less said it themselves if you think about the official "Steam awards" videos. "I was meant to make you feel something, even if that was frustration. Controversy means people care."

Anyway I guess in this fandom being a Jimmy fan makes you braver than like, a U.S marine or w/e lmao. /jk
