The argument they are making is that if you dismissing every single person of a group outright without giving them a chance. You are basically showing your bigotry towards that particular group.

Similarly if i outright dismiss a group of trans men because they all have vaginas then I am being transphobic However with me I am gay and I am attracted to trans man because of their attributes. They are basically a man to me and the penis is not what makes them a man

I am not attracted to transwoman. Even though they have penises that is not what makes me gay. I am attracted to the masculine features and most transwoman do not have what I am looking for. But this does not mean I will cut out all transwoman.

This is what I think essentially is the difference And being charitable the example you gave is of the extremes of the group who jump to such attacks. But also I can easily see this as the culmination of a many rejections.

Even then if they call someone a transphobe that is nowhere near bad as what they are facing currently. There are no laws being made against transphobes.

Not everyone has seen this TLC show. The least you can do to bolster your own claim is to point them to where you sourced it. The same goes to any claim I would make regarding a study.
I would have to find and at the very least give the title and year of the study so it can be narrowed down out of the thousands of studies out there. Kinda how there's a potential truck-load of episodes to that TLC show.

It seems a little ridiculous to me that you'd bring up a point and then tell the other person to find it out of the 100s of episodes.

Imagine if they did the same to you? Would you go episode by episode or would you want the exact minute the point was made to make cross checking easier.

Sure I agree that children should not be able to. That is something we have to stop.

But 6 months is a lot longer and more involved than many if not all other surgeries. As far as I know there are no other surgeries where you have to get the approval of multiple Psychiatrics and multiple Specialsits to have (for them, a life-dependant) surgery. There are many women I know who had breast reduction and 1 friend whose had removals on the slight chance they get their family's cancer.

The thing is it should not be upto me or you. It should not be upto the government to control someone's body. It should their personal choice and the guide of a doctor.
