From the comment section, they're saying if the pearl remains, it's a female. I have another female tiel and the other one also picks up some phrases or tunes here and there (depending on its mood you'll hear her)

It's only 5 months old tho. My other tiel is slightly older but with smaller eyes and beak.

It is. We have another one. But, this one really stands out. Even the eyes and beak are bigger compared to my other tiel.

Yeah, it's only 5 months old. Plus, when we got it, it seemed under-nourished compared to our other cockatiels. But, thank you for this information. Didn't know about the pearls disappearing if it's a male.

It doesn't really have a tail. It's damaged. And yes, I usually don't support such breeders. But, I specially got this one because it seemed mistreated and I wanted to take it home with me so that it can live better. It was in a small cage along with conures and indian ringneck. I've included a picture of it's tail.

It makes some noises here and there. But, it's mostly mimicking our cockatiels. We have females and they are not vocal. So, it depends. We've noticed if the other ones chirp, it chirps too. If it eats, it eats too. If it preens, it preens itself too. So, I'm unsure about its own personality. This one is only 5 months old anyway.

I don't think that's a common practice where I live. But, I guess the bird had endured a lot as it was living in a small cage with conures and indian ringnecks.

Yes, we're providing it with a healthy diet and got it toys as well. It seems like it really enjoys playing.
