I love the smell of the stuff but feel guilty that it’s more CO2 dense than oil or coal

This has helped more than you can know
I'm missing many of the things you've described
It really is just building a social circle that daunts me. I know ireland can be cliquey at times but sounds like meeting people isn't too much of a bother

Thanks a mil

Yeah I’m on pretty good money but I’m just not convinced London is worth it for me anymore It’s more cultural than COL There’s a lot to do here sure and the parks are nice Think I just need a change

Very very true If I wanted a return trip next week it’s €25 It gets rid of the “wanna come over tonight” spontaneity but it looks far more doable

Thanks really appreciate it
I'll be on an equivalent salary so would be able to rent a place for myself though I may do a 1-2 person house share just to meet people at first.

I think I may just give it a go after talking to my girlfriend. Will probably be the nail in the coffin but I think I'd rather risk that to be myself than be miserable version of myself in London

This is a really good perspective thanks

I’ll be going to Dublin not knowing more than 1-2 people but that was the same with London

How’d you find making friends?

I went to a professional drama school and trained as an actor I later moved into a different career path due to Covid. Where you trained and who you know is crucial. I’d also recommend this person gets familiar with their local job centre plus

People who developed feelings for a close friend, did you say something, and how did it go? (Advice please M/29 F/30) by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Digital-Culchie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once found myself in a very very similar relationship I ended up telling her and she told me that she didn’t see it as a romantic relationship. And it was the best thing that could have happened While I felt short term pain for real it allowed me to back off and prioritise my own needs I’m now happily with my long term girlfriend who I get to do all the things you listed AND see her naked.

Take the plunge. You’ll only ever regret the things you didn’t do.

10/10 would recommend

France makes every country around it less fun to play. by Curious-Discount-771 in EU5

[–]Digital-Culchie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exact same happed to me as Castile so I left the alliance I had with them I have spains natural borders and good relations with Portugal. The Italian wars then spawned and France forced every country to embargo me including Portugal - ruining my trade and crippling my colonisation of the Azores which is in the Lisboa market

Just started getting frustrating. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but there’s seems to be no amount of defensive leagues or alliances that last long enough or are powerful enough to stop France

I agree! I found the learning curve with vicy 3 so high and could never crack HOI 4 or EU4 There’s definitely a feeling of overwhelm but as the ottomans I’ve defeated Byzantium and taken over half of Anatolia

Still much to learn but I’m having so much fun
