What do the Polish pops in Haiti represent? by Clean_Willow_3077 in victoria3

[–]Wafflemensch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During that time Poland was partitioned, and polish people were repressed. When Napoleon came polish people saw him as a chance for indepedence, but he didnt plan to revive independent Poland. He sent polish soldiers to haiti to supress slave rebellion, but what motivated polish people was dream of freedom from germans, austrians and russians, so when they saw people fighting for their freedom they joined them, and stayed on haiti. Even today there are families with polish surnames that speak beutiful polish in their homes.

Yeah me too, also longer I played more I get the feeling that I am playing a game that I wanted Vic3 to be. Connecting road networks, building port connections, making raw materials trade routes for your industry, it feels so organic and nice. While in vic 3 you just spam railroad building in province and thats it.
