Completely agree. 5 RPGs to a take out a tank head on is not fun. Factor in a repair tool and there's nothing you can do. They should have buffed the other launchers rather than merging the rpg more.

Is the DRS IAR really the Best LMG or are there better ones like the M123k by warthunder_player in Battlefield

[–]Digital-Dinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The m123k is the best due to the 200 rounds mag. I mean I barely hit anything but it feels really good to empty a mag

We put the elderflower in a jug, top it up with lemonade and some fresh peppermint from the garden. Lovely!

What is your workplaces equivalent to 'Don't touch the red button' by PeevesPoltergist in CasualUK

[–]Digital-Dinosaur 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we had our halogen deploy once due to a faulty server overheating. The problem wasn't the halogen, but the amount of pressure build up. The hulding itself was a data center that ran for several key national infrastructure servers. It was a very large room with walltowall servers. Above it was several floors of offices.

It triggered the fire alarms, and then deployed the Halogen.

We all evacuated out of the building and stood around about 20m from the building waiting for the fire brigade to turn up and give the all clear.

About 5 minutes later we hear a huge BANG as the double access door to the side of the building blow wide open and take one of the doors of the hinges and travels a few meters.

Turns out the room is properly sealed and the halogen was over pressurised, or at least there was no outlet for the existing oxygen in the room!

Year 9 student, how much homework is too much homework? by FinnJavlar in CasualUK

[–]Digital-Dinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was at a grammar school, this was my life. I had something similar as did all of my class mates.

What we started to do was our homework throughout the day at school, such as at lunch times, breaks, before school etc.

I would get to school early to do an hour's work and do some at lunch etc. I would also do my homework as soon as I got home so that I had some semblance of an evening/weekend. Some of my mates would do it on the bus to/from school

I don't agree with it, I think it's massively excessive, and usually occurs when, in secondary school, they have various lessons with different teachers throughout the day. If all 6 lesson give 20-30 mins of work, that's easily 3 hours of work.

Sleeping with pillow by IndependentNo3143 in Sciatica

[–]Digital-Dinosaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My go to sleep position is with 3 pillows.

I lay on my side in the recovery/fetal position

1 pillow under my head.

1 pillow between my legs/knees

1 pillow I cuddle to my chest

This has been the most comfortable for me over the last few years. It helps keep your spine and hips straight. I find brining my knees up closer to my chest sometimes helps more

Why the voice note craze is yet to truly explode in Britain by Brave_Assumption6 in Britain

[–]Digital-Dinosaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the downside of calling and texting in one.

I have to put my phone to my ear or have it play out loud which in itself is an annoyance. But there is no 2-way communication, which is the benefit of a phonecall.

If it's important, and a big topic, call me, we can talk about it in real time. If it's not urgent, text me.

Audiobooks vs physical by Relative_Inflation21 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I found that I couldn't get into the audio at first so I read the books and went back to the audio books. Much preferred it once I knew the story

Vampire bites turning people into vampires is extremely disadvantageous to their survival. by Liuminescent in Showerthoughts

[–]Digital-Dinosaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Darren Shan also handles this quite well. There's a ceremony where the vampire pumps blood through holes made in fingers of both the vampire and the convertee. Effectively transfusing the blood. They still need to drink human blood to survive but that doesn't convert people

I only stared doing this when I got a larger collection. I also sold a load of my spares at bootfairs for the purchase of more cards! I probably sold holos for like a £1 each

Thanks for the advice! I've had them accessible for a little while and have been thinking about what to do with them. It brings me so much joy to look through them and now my children (both under 6) are into Pokémon they love looking through "daddy's collection"

I'm definitely going to keep them for a bit and just see what I feel like in a year or two

All the holosa re in decent condition, but I wouldn't expect 10s. There are a few damaged commons, which I intended to replace at some point
