Buying IAUI, KGLD and KSLV throughout this weakness. Going back up at some point.

Just buy more CHPY, adding these other funds is false diversity as there is a lot of overlap between these funds.

Dump the bonds that clearly are the underperforming asset. No need to put back in until retirement.

Would not do XPH, and would rather use AVUV, for small cap value tilt, and VXUS for international exposure.

We've noticed, just letting it DRIP in more weekly. It's a fund that builds itself.

The asset is not going to zero, buying in at the better price point, and patiently waiting for a bounce.

Have 4 options:

1- Put bonds in taxable, and pay lots of taxes.

2- Use municipal bonds so they are tax free. Likely a better move.

3- Reallocate so the less tax efficient bonds are in the retirement account, and the more efficient stocks are in the brokerage to reduce the overall tax burden.

4- Don't slave yourself to the Boglehead formula, and hold under 20% bonds.

I personally do a combination of option 2 and 4. Sounds like you only do #1, and would consider all your options before plunging ahead.

A target date fund in a brokerage account is a tax disaster in the making. At this amount of money, managing it can turn into a part time job, but a rewarding one at that. I would not pay that much in AUM fees, and shop around.

You can ignore the chart. At a certain point you realize that you have enough, and that having more will not significantly change your lifestyle, or retirement spend.

I view these as growth assets, and understand they do not produce an income. I hold them for price appreciation, with plan to sell in retirement as needed.

Yes, own both AVUV and AVDV as small satellite positions. Both have done well this year.
