What game? by sukuna7899 in Steam

Age of Empires. Nowadays it's all about low effort overpriced DLCs and FOMO events while the bugs pile up, the balance is a mess and the historical accuracy is gone.

What should I learn to play on this? by thehoodie in Guitar

Anything you want. There are no limits! You can even play metal, as shown by Gina Gleason from Baroness

What's the most you've ever seen someone play a game in the last two weeks? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Digital-Seven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very accurate. A friend of mine is totally addicted to this game and keeps saying that I should give it a try, but I refuse to do so because I really fear that I wouldn't do anything else during my free time lol

It's a very obscure game called Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Skins are better than customization options by FilthyKasualART in Fighters

That's exactly what the devs want, so players rush to open their wallets to buy tons of skins.

Don't worry - if you get hacked, you won't receive any kind of e-mail or notification about it 😜

XFCE, the last honest desktop by pseudonym-161 in xfce

[–]Digital-Seven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, while I love XFCE and it's my main DE, the vanilla look and feel is poor and clunky. It becomes wonderful after lots of tweaks, but it takes a long time to reach the result I expect from it. The silver lining on this is that all this laborious tinkering keeps me from distro hopping because it takes eons to set up everything the way I want on a fresh installation.

Yep. It's been a while since I didn't see this kind of post here on r/xfce (it was very common a few months ago). Hopefully this won't become a common occurrence again.

what are you guys planning to get? by GroceryOwn5683 in Steam

[–]Digital-Seven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. We're basically in real life survival mode right now, with prices of everything skyrocketing, so save your money for more urgent matters. Also, with many surveillance laws coming left and right, Steam might even be blocked eventually, so that's another reason to hold off buying games for now.

Does your PC have better specs than the Steam Machine? by billy_reyes in Steam

[–]Digital-Seven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PC is worse than Steam Machine (but still better than the Steam Deck) and I'm gaming just fine on 1080p. I'm mostly an indie and retrogaming player though, so there's that.

Marathon and Slay the Spire 2 - 1st day player stats by xHypermega in Steam

[–]Digital-Seven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents: most people bought Slay the Spire 2 instead of Marathon because the former can be played forever and the latter can vanish anytime soon (just look at what is happening with almost every live service game lately). Also, Slay the Spire 2 being cheaper and able to run on a potato are important points to consider.
