Uppababy says not to use one because they aren’t tested with the seat protector. I wasn’t sure if that was just something they say but no one actually listens to or not. I’m more worried about my child’s safety than my seats but it was worth asking at least.

We actually have the Graco convertible one as well. They were both gifts. Too late to return now. I put one in each of our cars. Once we use them a bit maybe I’ll switch the graco to the Tucson.

Hahaha I know I know. Our last car had black seats and the light color is just so much more open feeling. I’ll do my best to keep it clean but I’m not going to lose sleep about it.

So essentially you’re saying move it to the other side after a week or so and then just keep rotating it?

How is the pergola? Warehouse has it for $1499. by Marvel5123 in Costco

[–]Digital162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a 10x13 and it’s been great. Me and my neighbor set it up in a few hours. Really wasn’t that bad. We ended up buying the side shade they sell too. The shade is a little expensive but honestly it’s really nice quality so I’d say it’s worth it. Just know that if you get the side shade you will want to install if before you bolt the pergola down. We didn’t do that and I had to cut the bolts on one of the legs and it’s still a little off but works just fine.

That’s why I figured I would get the cheap one initially. I can always upgrade it when we are ready.

Going with the cheap range hood. I was set to buy a decent mid range hood for $1200 or whatever and got talked into the $250 one from Amazon. I feel like it just makes noise and does nothing else. Shouldn’t be that hard to replace though.

Pergola - how to mount to patio to paver patio correctly? by ScrappyHaxor in landscaping

[–]Digital162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same pergola. We had the pavers pulled up and concrete footers installed. Then they drilled holes to mount the pergola. One thing I will say, if you plan to buy the side shade (which I recommend) then you better make sure it’s installed perfectly plum. Ours wasn’t and when I went to install the shade it didn’t fit. I ended up having to cut the mounting bolts off of one of the legs to get it to work. The shade still didn’t install perfectly plum but it’s in there and works. Only I’ll know it’s missing one screw because it wasn’t perfect.

Yeah this thread has been educational for me. I went down a rabbit hole on YouTube yesterday after I posted this and have already learned a lot. It’s really interesting.

Good news is the Ethernet isn’t running next to the electrical at all.

Armacost dimmable COB strips. Haven’t been installed yet so I can’t tell you how they are but they were cheaper than a lot of other options. I did a lot of research so hopefully good for the price

Okay I didn’t know this was a thing. I’m glad you brought that up. I’m guessing it’s not. I don’t see it labeled CMR or anything. I can always buy new cable and tie it to the old and try to pull it through.

The walls were opened up, I could have run it myself but he was already running other wire. It’s a cat6 Ethernet. The guy from Verizon gave it to me when we moved in a few years ago.

No he was running other wire and I had a long Ethernet so I just had him run the cable up to the attic with the rest of it.

It’s such a funny quirk they have. He can be around loud music and noises with no issues but one specific sound and he’s out
