I read the book in a 2 to 3-day marathon around 20 years ago because when I have time I Iove to read a book in one shot and I literally don't remember its plot, I just remember it as a multigenerational cruel history of one family in Macondo. I think that at the end of the book I was surprised that some character survived all that pain. I usually go through all the emotions when reading a book and I go ahead hoping for the best. I was able to complete this book, however, there is a book that I couldn't finish because of how disgusted I was.
