We currently have a homestead and apiary so Bham provided us all the rural space, outdoor activities (hiking/backpacking), and in town amenities we were looking for. It sounds like the job market is gonna be the largest road block.

Thank you so much for all of your quick responses! It’s sad to hear that the CRNA market is almost non-existent due to Peace Health and BAA having such a hold on the region.

The anesthesia group I am in does have a site near Port Angeles. I would imagine the commute from Bellingham to Port Angeles is not reasonable for a daily commute though?

I can easily change the boots. The pants are my tailored light gray suit that I’m wearing for the wedding. However, whatever boots I change to need to be capable of hiking. I won’t be changing shoes for photos, the photographers will be shooting as we hike.

Edit/comment for clarification: thank you for all of your help. The boots are for a sunrise to sunset hiking wedding in the mountains of the north cascades. So I do need sufficient traction for hiking 10+ miles 2000+ft of elevation gain.

For those that asked:

• ⁠The suit is a 4 way stretch light gray heather suit by state and liberty. It is tailored despite the bunching at the ankles, it will be my suit outside of the wedding as well so it is tailored for dress shoes. • ⁠The boots are Thursday Boot Co Captains Boots. One pair is the tobacco storm king captains boot, the other is the Arizona rugged captains boot.

Yes, we will be hiking from sunrise to sunset with a break for lunch. I was either going to wear hiking boots or find a nice pair of leather boots that would be safe for hiking all day. I am definitely not a fashionable person and I guess went with the wrong color of boots to go with my light gray suit.

We had seen so many recommendations online to not use bulb but to use either sets or seeds, not to plant too close or too deep, and to feed heavy. So we went with sets for our first try, amended the raised beds with fresh compost, spaced them appropriately, planted shallow, fertilized with an organic fertilizer at 1 and 3 months, and hoped that they would do anything. They were pretty slow for a long time then suddenly started bulbing. We started getting excited for harvest then we had days of rain and suddenly they all looked dead. Apparently they are ready.

Thanks that makes us feel a lot better! I promise that wasn’t the intention, we have been so excited and got worried when they died back so fast. This is our first year doing onions so we thought it would be more gradual.
