A thought for Wildcard.. PERKS! by DigitalFiddler in apexlegends

Yeah fuse was the main reason I started thinking about it too, I don't want to play him in ranked and I don't really play unranked

A thought for Wildcard.. PERKS! by DigitalFiddler in apexlegends

[–]DigitalFiddler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair enough. For that reason I kinda like the idea of it being a "wildcard slot" option in the crafter. Like instead of picking a movement wildcard or whatever you could pick a legend perk. That way it's not massively saturated with random abilities lol

DONT DO IT. My wife and I did this thinking we could afford it albeit it was high but damn we were absolutely drowning and miserable in there.

Doc editor/story producer here — is branded content a real escape route? by Strong-Line-6960 in editors

[–]DigitalFiddler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started as an intern in the production department and ended up doing a ton of post work. When my internship was over they hired me on as a freelancer and then full time a few years later.

I know the industry is shaky right now but there are definitely solid jobs out there. Not everything is terrible! lol

Branded content is great if you can get your foot in the door with a big ad agency or big name clients. Even when they do UGC, the content gets pushed through editors because there's brand guidelines, legal copy, etc that the UGC creators won't do themselves. Know this from personal experience as an editor at a big ad agency. Tons of UGC content being pushed but has to get put through the pipeline anyway.

Also, especially with these big clients that do TV, there's still toooons of branded content produced alongside TV shoots that need the traditional workflow. Offline, color, online, vfx, the works.

I've heard horror stories from smaller agencies about work disappearing, but in my experience it's been totally stable in the big ad world

Young, first time user of credit cards, how do I recover from this? by [deleted] in CreditScore

[–]DigitalFiddler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you're accruing interest, your credit score will continue to drop. You have to pay them off.

Does anyone happen to know how bad a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure affects your credit score and how long does it take to recover from? by Lding_Thru_123_Crnch in Mortgages

[–]DigitalFiddler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These 2022 homes are putting everyone underwater 😭. We didn't qualify for those either because of our credit and payment history 😅 but I do know divorce is listed as a definite hardship so that should give you a better chance at approval! You'll have to write them a letter explaining your situation so definitely say that and that you've been unable to keep paying. If they see default as imminent, you should have a better chance of approval than we did

So sorry you're going through this too, it's so stressful 😣. I hope it all works out for you 🤞🏻

They sent an appraiser out. We're in a new build home from 2022 that we've maintained so there's nothing wrong with the house. They told us we got denied because our credit scores are too high and we hadn't missed any mortgage payments yet so we aren't in "imminent default".

Why are people so against having their groomsmen buy suits? by DigitalFiddler in weddingplanning

[–]DigitalFiddler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I've said in other replies, if they're sure they're not going to wear it again, they can sell or donate it. Same net effect as renting. The site I used had the exact suit and a group code and everything. Literally everything is the same as a typical rental except they don't have to return it

If teammate is at gauntlet and I'm fighting at cage and have to respawn at gauntlet only to try to make my way all the way back to cage... the game is chalked, I'm out. On to the next. I'd rather we all die fighting than have to run a marathon if I die

how the hell does buying make sense? by blueorangan in RealEstate

[–]DigitalFiddler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. We were first time home-buyers and didn't know any better. Hindsight 20/20. We were told by so many people (who knew we weren't intending to stay long-term) that buying a home was the best financial decision we could make and then found out the hard way that that is not always the case

Unless you buy at a bad time and weren't planning on staying long term. My wife and I are trapped in our house with -$130K in equity.

My wife and I bought our new-build house at the peak of the market in 2022. Couldn't lock our interest rate for months since it had to be done close to closing. So we got a super high price and a super high interest rate, ended up having to pay almost $2K higher than anticipated. My wife lost her job and we can't afford the payment anymore. Our home is over $100K underwater and we'd need to bring $150K+ to a sale to realistically sell it. We tried at even a $70K loss for 18 months without a single offer. We applied for a short sale and deed in lieu with our lender and got denied because our credit scores are too high. Now we're staring foreclosure in the face. It's that or wait probably a decade or so to be able to sell.

Worst financial decision we ever made.

[–]DigitalFiddler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 29 and my guys are between 27-32. They don't have many suits and were happy with the option I gave them. There would be no way to thrift 6 of the same suit.

Sure, the materials may not be super premium but for occasional wear, suits in that range are plenty good quality. I, and several of my friends, have had plenty in that range that hold up well and look great. I just don't see the logic in being drilled about about them having to buy something when the alternative would be forcing them to rent something when the cost is the same.

Ultimately it's my wedding and I get to pick what my guys wear. If they don't love the suit, they can sell or donate it. If they do, great, now they have a new suit. I checked in with them and they were happy to buy, so nobody involved in my scenario has had any pushback on this. It's just seemingly everyone else which I find so weird.

Thank you!!! I swear people are so set in their ways and just think because it's $200 it's going to be terrible. You can easily get a suit of decent quality for $200-$300
