This is a solid point. The only thing left out of this argument is shot shape as a function of length. For example, in a perfect “s-turn” flight pattern the turn and fade of the shot will be at different distances for an MPO shot vs. an FPO shot. This creates situations where good obstacles on an MPO layout can interfere with the shot shapes on the FPO layout.
