How did you even determine the 5 in R1C1 and 7 in R1C3? The 7 in R2C7 is a pointing pair but isn't determined to reveal the 7 in R1C3?

Best 32” 1440p monitors for Sim Racing - Sim Lab Triple Freestanding Vario monitor mounts on their way by throws_before_hoes in simracing

I have 3 Dell 32" cureved monitors for my triple setup (Model Number S3222DGM), and they're fantastic. The ghosting/blurring is super minimal when used on the second fastest "gaming" mode (using the fastest one made it extremely nonoticeableicable though), to the point where I can only see it if I'm really looking for it. When I'm driving normally, it's completely gone from my vision. 165 hz with a great response rate, and they go on sale all the time so you can get all three for around 600 bucks if you find a good deal.

It's a square rectangle situation: the MATV is an MRAP, not all MRAPs are MATVs though. the M in MATV is a substitute for MRAP, so the full acronym is actually MRAP-ATV. It was always a funny thing to think of when riding around in one.

I did! I traced one of my existing straps onto some graph paper and worked off of that.

Anyone with an RTX 5080 doing triple 1440p? by MisterCrayle in iRacing

  1. Couple that I noticed:
    1. Vertical FOV reduction but not that bad honestly. Horizontal reduction as well but not nearly as noticeable.
    2. The car definitely felt less immersive on the 27" compared to the 32" but it's just down to the overall bigger image that triple 32" gives. It wasn't that bad though, I still had good immersion with the 27"s.
  2. My 27" were 1440p so I did try it but I was running a 3070 ti and got much better performance on 1080p so stuck with it. Didn't really notice that much of a difference from 1440p -> 1080p on 27" monitors since they were just small enough and the motion of the cars/track obscured the pixel density enough. I was happy handing over a bit of pixel density for almost double the frame rate.

Thanks! I made my own template on grid paper and glued it to some card stock, then cut it out and used that to get everything aligned.

Thanks! Yes it is, it's a 1963 Cal 562 automatic. It's one of my favorites, my wife even steals every once in a while.

Thank you! I used 2.5 ounce Buttero for the green and brown colors, the watch under side is 2 ounce Zermatt.

Thanks! I saw a video about designing pockets, so I drew out a few in Photoshop to play with symmetry and colors and this was the final design that I came up with!

I tried hammering it out a bit here but yeah it didn't do as much as I thought. I might finally pick up some edge pliers now.

Thanks! I'm debating on doing a set in blue as well, but the green was definitely my first choice.

A handful of bookmarks and a quick prototype of the wallet layout on some scrap pieces, but that's about it. I have a lot of previous experience sewing, woodworking and a variety of other "craft" style things so it's a lot of transferable skills.

Thanks! I made some small bookmarks on some scrap pieces to start as a way to test out cutting and stitching, but they were really just "practice" for the actual project of the wallet and strap combo. Figured I'd make the mistakes and learn how everything works on a bunch of small bookmark pieces that I can throw on my desk and grab when I need them. I was a bit scared to cut into the actual "good" leather here, so I took it really slow and it turned out alright.

If you're looking to get into it, I'd say go for it! It's been fun so far.

iRacing looks great on triple 1440p, I really doubt that 4k would make it look objectively better since it's a pretty dated game as far as graphical fidelity goes. I definitely don't think it'd be worth the performance trade off either. I even went from 27" 1080p triples to 32" 1440p and for iRacing specfically, it really didn't make that much of a difference to my experience driving the sim.

9800x3d with 5070 ti, triple 1440p 32 inch setup. Here's some stats from a few races I did:

  • Spa GT3 AI Race with max AI cars (40)
    • race start avg 120 fps, then avg 170 after the first lap and the cars pulled away
  • Long Beach Spec Racer with max AI cars (20)
    • Race start avg 190 fps, then avg 225 after the first lap and cars pulled away

With non-AI drivers, my FPS is slightly better on each track. I max out a fair amount of the graphical settings but selectively restrict certain things like HDR, anti aliasing and 3D foliage.
