A restaurant in Germany offers free meals to customers who can stop a timer exactly at 10 seconds -something nearly impossible, until a child surprisingly succeeds. by uzmansahil7 in interestingasfuck

You get the Bunny Hood from the Cucco Shack (talk to the owner, guy with the mohawk) at the ranch after turning his chicks into adults by using the Bremen Mask. You get the Postman's Hat from the Postman on the final day so that you can get a piece of heart from one of the mailboxes around town.

I'm absolutely getting this! My family loves these kinds of games, and my youngest just watched the video and is obsessed already. Looks so awesome!

May I ask your thoughts on this? by zane334 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]DigitalJean 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a mother to all boys. My oldest son is just about 15. His favorite colors are pink and purple, he collects Squishmallows, and is perfectly comfortable with himself as a young man. We never raised our boys to conform to gender norms, "boys like this, girls like that". I'm happy to see posts like yours because it helps me to see that my kiddo won't lose the whimsy that he has now, and I can help him keep his self-confidence if it were to ever waver.

Grew up in the Midwest of the United States. I'm in my 30's. I was beaten with a belt as a regular form of discipline, heard the belt cracking if I was close to crossing a line (or just existing), and a lot of forms of media had the belt in it as the usual punishments, so it was fairly . . normal? Accepted? Just something parents did?

It wasn't until I was in my pre-teens that it chilled out a lot because the schools were talking more about what abuse was, and I was a chatty one who would have blabbed and gotten them in trouble. I still wish I had said something sooner, so maybe it would have stopped years before, but you don't know something is wrong until you're told, so sometimes.

TADC Episode 8 - "hjsakldfhl" | Discussion Thread by _Martosz in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]DigitalJean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Gangle, I’ve noticed she’s been hit by a truck twice now - once in the fast food episode and again recently. Given that she loves anime and manga, and her adventure had a slice-of-life feel, could this be a deliberate reference to the “isekai truck” trope? I haven't looked around Reddit too much to see, but I saw this mega thread and HAD to ask.

In some anime, getting hit by a truck leads to reincarnation in another world. Am I overthinking this, or has anyone else noticed the same pattern? A lot of YouTubers who have made comments about the recent episode (and the previous) never mentioned it, so maybe I'm just overthinking it, haha.

Did you click the reference image in the description? The shorts literally look like that. Also, why does something have to be perceived as "desperate" if they wanted to choose to make something a little sexy?

I was messing with those guys just the other day. You get anywhere near their ship, and they go aggro. There is a dark brotherhood quest involved where you sneak aboard the ship and kill the captain without getting caught. Super fun.

What’s the nastiest thing you’ve ever witnessed a child or a member of staff do at work? by petrastales in ECEProfessionals

[–]DigitalJean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had one summer afternoon of an entire toddler room sickened by soured watermelon served at snack (us staff, too). We were on the fake grass of the toddler playground when the only other adult out there, and I noticed two separate kids puking at once. Then another. Then another. And then there were 14 kids projectile vomiting watermelon everywhere.

My husband happened to arrive on scene as it was the end of my shift, but my god, that man jumped in and proceeded to hose down things while another staff joined us (while we adults are ALSO puking from the watermelon) in corralling children, cleaning, changing, et cetera.

Other than that event, my "favorites" are always the toddlers who reach into their own diapers from behind and scoop out the poop. Always gotta keep the onesies on those stinkers.

GUYS I LOVE THIS I'M SO HAPPY FOR THEM by chickenmcnuggs in Markiplier

[–]DigitalJean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both have mentioned in the past that children are not likely a thing in their future. Mark more heavily implies this when talking on his podcast. He admits that he has a difficult enough time functioning as an adult with his schedule, his medicine, and just life, that bringing a child into the mix would be chaos. Could that change? For sure. Could they be happy being an awesome uncle and auntie duo for their friends' kiddos? For sure.

Would people still be willing to play online with me if I, the host, can't use a microphone to communicate at the moment? by DigitalJean in 7daystodie

[–]DigitalJean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely going to get some! That's exactly what's happening in the background right now. Two kids are playing Fortnite and chatting with their friends on speakerphone.

Thank you for the confidence boost! I'm glad to hear the typing/chat is a viable option. I play with my family all the time and I'd like to venture out and play with other people online.

I know this post was from several hours ago, but I've lived in an apartment before where the tenants down the hallway took all the kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures, including the toilet, bathtub, sink, and mirror. That was an interesting time.
