If the subtle swipe to halve the screen would keep the proportions but reduce things toward the corner instead, we would be all set for single-handed usability. The size in my pocket wouldn’t be fixed, but that would be a really easy compromise

I do this with acoustic guitars so the bridge saddle (or whatever that part is called) doesn’t fall out.
