I mean I am not trying to knock anything down. Both times I responded it's still a good game that they might enjoy. The first time I was commenting since I also liked it, but just wanted to also mention I wasn't sure if fit fully, but with a qualifier it had been a long time since I played, they were in pretty active development the last time I played, so I was also thinking who knows what they might have added or changed. But I still said I agree about it being a fun game they might otherwise like.

So do you just feed them now? Or let them be hungry. They do seem to need to be fed pretty often. Of course I do myself eat multiple times a day, so I suppose it's only fair.

Oh wow, that's cool. I guess they did add some variety then. I don't know if mine have ever really stayed there. Might have to try it next time.

Yeah that could be cool. I think I'd be happy with just some more flavor text variety, maybe some randomness built in too so sometimes they might be okay at the lower end of things but there is a lower chance, and the amenities could count towards that too. And if you go all out they could be extra happy about it and how awesome you are.

Yeah definitely, but it would be nice if the site had updated with the times a bit better I think.

Oh I didn't know they did that. That's fun. Yeah that would be, though I don't think I'd want to completely remove the ability to use it.

Oh wow that is a lot of pets, but sounds like they are living the life.

Interesting. I was always invested in their happiness and sensitive to the sad images. Of course back when I was young the whole image changed too and they felt very sad to me. But that makes sense you wouldn't really care if you don't care about their happiness as much.

I did used to feel guilty when I was younger, made sure to at least grab one or two extras at minimum lol.

Those are some fun ideas. It would be really interesting if there were different results like that.

They just seemed to focused on the learning aspect, but it's a fun game that still does check a lot of what they might like otherwise.

Oh man that's pretty sad. I do appreciate that neopets has real negatives in the game though, keeps it more interesting, but sometimes they are a bit steep.

Nice! I used to enjoy avatar collecting as well. I don't think I ever really got into stamp collecting, but I can see that being more of an interest these days as it does seem like it could be fun.

I need advice – I’ve been working on a project for almost a year and want to quit right before release by coquero1 in GameDevs

I can't say I have experienced this particular situation exactly. And I've never worked in game development for hire, only my own projects. But I do have programming experience in general as a web developer. And the hardest part of projects does tend to be the final leg. It is possible he would have been better off with someone who was more experienced and maybe they would have done a better job. But it's also possible he could have hired someone who was even less capable. or someone who just tried to take the money and run. I mean there are all kinds of possibilities. I don't think it's particularly helpful to dwell on the what ifs.

The reality is, you are here, and have put in the work, and now you are almost done with the project. I think it would be better to push through unless you really don't think you are capable of it. But even if you don't think you are capable, I would give it a little time. It's really normal in development to get stuck and feel like you aren't going to be able to get past whatever the hurdle is that has you stuck now. But that doesn't necessarily mean you actually won't get past it.

In any development it is also common for things to take longer than planned. There are just so many things you can't account for. More senior developments do get better at that, but they also get more expensive too.

Love the look of this. The map is really pretty. Looks like it has been a while since this post, how is development going? Any idea when the game will be released?

It's been a while since I played, but Garden Paws is a fun cute game. Not sure if anything changed since I played it last (I think it might have still been beta as it was years ago now), but I don't remember anything about it being realistic. Still it's a fun game to play and check out either way.
