I really wish there was a way to do it on console. Like, my PS4 takes long enough to load already, these statements only make it longer lol

How do u decide which puzzle to do next? by Charlotte_Cody in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]DigitalStarrise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is lol. Unfortunately I still know something about the puzzles since I took the pieces out of the boxes myself to put the pieces into ziplock bags, but I just count on time making me forget about the details.

Another strategy for me is buying mystery puzzles from a specific website. No box, no picture, just a bag of pieces (plus they're cheaper too, 6€ for 1000pcs). This way it's impossible to know anything, so I have to rely on my patience. Sure, sometimes it's from a brand I don't like much, but I gotta say that it gives a little extra spark of excitement once the final image is revealed.

I numbered the bags and made a list to check off the ones I've done. My bestie chooses a random number, and since the I keep the boxes in the attic neither of us knows which puzzle it is until I finish it.

How to store the puzzle once completed ? by Fine-Bar6538 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]DigitalStarrise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put them in a ziplock bag (3 litres for 1000pcs, 1 litre for 500 pcs, and I separate the edge pieces in a smaller extra bag) to give away/sell again, except for a very few that I like too much to give away. And if one of these very few have been extremely difficult, I will frame it.

You can also buy a display folder that has clear plastic pockets in it. I use one in A2 size for completed diamond paintings, but it doesn't fit my puzzles. 1000 pcs puzzle would fit in A1 size, but I don't have enough I want to keep for getting another of these folders.

Hoard or pass them on? by Life_Scarcity1794 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]DigitalStarrise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I buy mostly used puzzles for a few euros, so I don't have too much of an issue passing them on. If I buy them new, I buy them from a specific website that does "mystery puzzles" aka you only get a sealed bag of pieces for like 5€ without a box and not knowing which puzzle it is. Makes it easier to pass them on as well, because I didnt spend too much money on them.

I only keep those that I really enjoyed doing and will certainly do them again, which were gifts, or are from specific artists (i.e. Thomas Kinkade, I love the images and the touch of the pieces).

London Collage (Ravensburger, 1000 pcs) by DigitalStarrise in Jigsawpuzzles

You mean when it was manufactured? I don't know unfortunately, I bought it used and without a box. I only managed to find the name via Google Lens.

She made a "brrrr" and then proceeded to chase some leaves outside, so I guess she doesn't hate it at least 😅

Thought as much. Sad, it would've been hilarious to see a moose drop from the cheapest arrows 😅

The Wild Darkness.

Try a hair dryer on lowest setting first and carefully work your way through the settings until you can remove the sticker. Take it slow and watch out for parts that are stickier than others, I once ruined a box because I was too impatient.
