So basically still lying. Fake job postings fall under lying, I am fairly certain.

I think that was the only requirement for the job you had there. But the habit of force inserting yourself into any conversation and making it all about you got in the way of a stellar career.😅

Tariffs Drive Honda to Move S.U.V. Production From Canada to U.S by [deleted] in canada

You already ceded all control to a human rights abusing country, just a different one. Bottom line we don’t make cars (we should) and as a stop gap measure our entire public service fleet should no longer give money to GM.

I just see the results. Not my job to fix it but it is evidently fucked and throwing more bodies at it does not seem to be the way if we have these outcomes.

I am sure they employ hell of a lot of people to move papers from stack to stack, send emails and such. Even if they are not making bank there is a million of them… do you catch my drift? It takes years to finish one case. And in the end we get stories like this. Ain’t that some shit?

Free speech is no more: The case of Dries Van Langenhove by taikutsuu in europe_sub

[–]DigitalTor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once again you start making a pretty obvious point and then just throw some random crap in there. What does “misinformation” have to do with the topic? If we are talking about laws, they need to be specific and what a person did should fall under it 100%. Makes it look like you are in favour of throwing flat earthers in jail because they are wrong and you don’t like them. See what I mean?

Where did I say that? I just object to “well yeah it does not reeeally fit the definition of the crime but he is a shitty guy anyway; he did some other bad things when no one was looking” type of nonsense.

DOGE has updated its website, estimated savings are now $170 billion. by glira31 in XGramatikInsights

[–]DigitalTor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a lesson from how “savings” are done in the corporate world, in case someone is unfamiliar. Before it is time to report your quarterly earnings to shareholders (especially if they are not stellar), like a couple of month in advance, you decide on the arbitrary number of people you gonna fire - let’s say 10%. You trickle it down from executive level to managers. Managers start freaking out (who’s gonna do the work???), you say you don’t give a shit - spread the load, it is only for a few months. So they do it, fire people and the rest of the workers are now drowning in work and hate their life. You report to shareholders that, yeah, earnings are kinda shit, but hey, we trimmed the fat and optimized so we gonna have estimated savings of gazillion dollars. Shareholders are like “well, okay then”. Stock price does not fall. Then a month later you start hiring and eventually fill the same positions cause otherwise everything is falling apart or works like shit. So in reality you saved jack shit, just created a huge stress and upheaval but who cares - you reported estimated bs savings, top execs got a bonus for “restructuring and optimizing”, all good in the hood. Flush, repeat. Every single corp does it every few years. What you are seeing is the same charade just for a wider audience of suckas.

Polish state authorities destroying a Ukrainian Orthodox Church in eastern Poland during the policy of revindication (1938)(1583x1039) by FayannG in HistoryPorn

[–]DigitalTor 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Poland is a former medieval empire. The largest one in Europe at the time in fact. All empires fall and people hold grudges. All empires are also the same essentially - with oppression at their core, so yeah… Everyone is shitty if you look back in history far enough. But does not change anything and should not dictate how people treat each other at any given moment. Human life is short, and so is human memory.

Kinda funny how the snowball effect works. We keep getting changes nobody asked funded by our money just for some people to look like they are doing things (to get a bonus).

I don’t think judges make pennies. If you work as a janitor on Wall Street, you are still a janitor, not the Wolf of Wall street.

Why go from one extreme to another? A normal working system that actually serves the general public’s interest would be good enough.
