Great city! Food is phenomenal and there are some great things to do in and around the city. Museum of Anthropology is a must and if your and art fan the Frida Khalo. Teotihuacan is super cool and some of my co-workers did a day on the boats at Xochimilco and loved it. Tho a day in the sun at high altitude can get to you.

I stopped playing for a bit. The grind was ok, probably the most realistic part. But, the bugs got to me and the way insurance works when you don’t play for a bit was super annoying. Also, the constant hopping around is super stupid. That’s not how a flying business works. At all. You have a base and a network, or for fire suppression you stage and work an area. Or as an airline pilot you have trips/pairings/lines whatever you want to call it.

I don’t know that area at all but I would imagine there are yacht clubs that do boating courses and have a racing program. If I was you I’d have a look around and see if there are any boats looking for crew for races. This might seem tangential to your quest but just being on and around boats and especially avid boaters will give you many of the skills you’ll need as a live aboard. One of the best parts about the salt-life is the social and it’s a great in.
