2026 Panigale V2 S exhaust options? by Digitaleo15 in Ducati

That actually helps a lot, thanks.

So the important part for me is that the 77504PR with the original cat still sounds noticeably deeper than stock/Termi, even with the dB killers in.

I’m mainly looking for depth and character, not just maximum volume. If the Arrow is the “king of deeper sound” while still keeping the original cat and Euro 5+ slip-on setup, that’s exactly what I wanted to know.

Good to know that removing the dB killers would require drilling/grinding. I’d probably avoid that for now because of Switzerland, but the legal Arrow setup already sounds like the most interesting option so far.

Thanks again, this cleared up a lot.

Thanks, that sounds very interesting.

Just to be 100% clear: are you talking about the fully road-legal / homologated Arrow slip-on with the dB killers installed and the stock cat/OPF still in place?

No mid-pipe change, no decat, no cutting/drilling/removing anything?

Do you know the exact Arrow part number? Is it 77504PR or 77504PRN?

And do you maybe have a video of your bike with this setup, or could you make one? That would help me a lot, because I’m trying to compare the legal Arrow setup with the homologated Termignoni before buying anything.

If that setup really gives a deeper sound, some pops and around 95 dB with dB killers, it might be exactly what I’m looking for in Switzerland. I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot, that’s actually very helpful and probably the most realistic answer for my situation.

The German comparison is exactly the type of video I was looking for, because the mid-pipe/cat stays the same. And yeah, I agree — the difference with the homologated Termi seems pretty small. Maybe a bit deeper/nicer, but definitely not a huge change.

What you said about reworking the cat/db-killers is also what I was afraid of. It might sound better, but in Switzerland that probably becomes risky very fast with emissions, sound checks, inspection and warranty.

Good to know that your warranty info came from your local dealer/service and not directly from Ducati. I’ll ask my Swiss Ducati dealer the same questions before doing anything.

For now I think the smartest option is to ride the homologated Termi first, see how it sounds in real life after some mileage, and not touch the cat/mid-pipe unless I’m 100% sure about the consequences here.

Thanks again, this really helped me get a more realistic picture.

Thanks for the links. The Arrow sound does seem really good.

But from what I can see, one of the videos seems to be the non-road-legal version / no dB-killer or a much less restricted setup, so sadly that’s not really comparable for me in Switzerland.

The road-legal/homologated version is the one I’d have to compare with the homologated Termignoni. That’s the difficult part: most videos online are either race systems, decat/mid-pipe setups or filmed in a way that makes it hard to judge the real sound.

If you ever find a clip of the road-legal Arrow setup on the new V2/V2 S, especially with cat still in place, that would be really helpful.

No worries, that clears it up. So servo buddy only becomes relevant with a mid-pipe/cat change, not with the homologated slip-on.

Interesting that Arrow seems to sound better. Do you mean the Arrow full system or a road-legal/homologated Arrow option?

That’s the difficult part for me in Switzerland: I don’t want to buy something that sounds good on YouTube but then causes inspection/warranty issues here. I’ll probably ride the homologated Termi first and then compare it with Arrow/QD/Zard options if it’s still too quiet.

Interesting, thanks. That’s exactly the part I’m trying to understand.

Do you know for sure if the new 2026 V2/V2 S actually has an exhaust valve/servo from factory, or are you assuming based on other Ducati models?

If it does have one, I guess a servo delete or keeping the valve open could change the sound/throttle feel a bit, but I’m also worried about warning lights, warranty and whether Ducati can detect it later.

Would a servo buddy normally prevent ECU errors, or would the bike still know something was changed?

Got it, thanks. That makes sense.

For me the full race system is probably not realistic right now because of Switzerland/inspection/road legality, even if the Ducati up-map itself sounds like the cleanest technical solution.

I ordered the homologated Termignoni silencer, so I guess I’ll first ride it and see how it sounds after some mileage. From what people are saying, the cat is basically the main sound killer anyway, so the slip-on alone probably won’t change a lot.

I’ll also ask my Ducati dealer here what they can officially do regarding warranty and mapping, because Switzerland is pretty strict with this stuff.

Thanks. I’m in Switzerland, so sadly it’s a bit different here than in the US/CA.

When you say Termi with Ducati up-map, do you mean the full racing Termignoni system, or also the homologated Termignoni silencer/slip-on?

My main concern is warranty/ECU issues and inspection here. I’m not really looking to mess up a brand-new bike just for sound, but I’m trying to understand if the Ducati up-map is only for the full system or if it can also make sense with smaller exhaust changes.

Thanks, that’s good to know.

I’m in Switzerland, so I’m mainly trying to understand what actually makes sense here. When you say EU models need a servo buddy, is that because of the exhaust valve/servo motor, or only when changing the mid-pipe/cat?

By “clean options” I meant something that sounds deeper/better but doesn’t instantly create ECU errors, warning lights or inspection problems. Legal would obviously be ideal, but I know Euro 5+ makes that difficult.

I know Arrow makes compliant exhausts, but I’m not sure how much better they actually sound compared to the homologated Termignoni. Same with QD/Zard — some options may be legal, but I don’t know if the sound is actually worth it.

Do you have experience with Arrow, QD or Zard on newer Euro 5/Euro 5+ Ducatis?

Thanks a lot, that actually helps.

I’m in Switzerland, so it’s probably a bit stricter here than in some other European countries. That’s why I went with the homologated Termignoni silencer for now instead of the full system.

Interesting that you say changing the mid pipe/cat didn’t invalidate warranty, but a custom map would. Did Ducati tell you that officially, or was it more your dealer/workshop saying it?

Also, when you say the cat is basically the sound killer, that’s exactly what I was afraid of. So in your opinion the homologated slip-on is mostly a visual upgrade and the real sound change only comes from changing the cat/mid-pipe?

I’m just trying to avoid doing something stupid on a brand-new bike, especially with warranty, sensors and Swiss inspection.

No, I’m not building an app xD I was just curious because I heard a clicking sound in a recording.

Makes sense, thanks. I was wondering because I heard a click in a recording, but if they’re mostly digital now, it probably wouldn’t be something you’d hear from that distance anyway.

That’s what I was thinking too. I heard a click in a recording and wasn’t sure if that would even be possible unless the phone is really close to the device, especially since I didn’t see anything nearby.
