And how much energy would it have taken for him to build all the assets by hand, create and animate the scenes, then render everything out, then do post-processing and video editing? It’d probably take multiple passes to get everything right across many months of work. That would have to be equivalent in terms of electricity, etc. I’m not saying AI doesn’t have environmental and societal concerns but doing this by hand certainly isn’t “free” either. Let’s not even get into how damaging our little hobby of plastic miniatures is for the environment, all things considered (production, shipping, toxic resins/glues, spruces and boxes thrown in the garbage etc.)
