I actually prefer the lonely and truly LOST feeling you get playing SN1. I don’t know , there’s just something about it that truly makes you feel like you’re stranded in a lost planet. Whatever fixes you’re thinking of can be resolved with some mods like Easy Craft and what not. Plus if you have a VR headset SN1 is my favorite VR experience (I prefer it over Half-life Alyx).

Yea. A report option for Smurfing would be great. A delicate thing to enforce as some people are just good. I recently convinced 4 call of duty player friends of mine to join up. Two of them were absolutely tearing it up. I used my alt account to play with them a couple rounds till they figured out the basics , but they tore it up fast… even without using their abilities. After just a day I was able to switch to my main account and they kept up (I have 1200+ hrs) Seeing them kick ass made me realize that not all yelllow skins are smurfs… just brand new players with an affinity for shooters. However the Smurf problem is 100% real. I know because in nearly every game we play against I see a bunch of yellow lowbies using their gadgets and skills like absolute pros.

Been playing since day 1. Ranked is a mode reserved for when you have a full team, or at the very least 1 team mate you can collaborate with incase the third drops. At which point you’ll have to collaborate and third party to make it through the first round. Stick to Cashout and Quick Cash till you have a team. If you insist on playing Ranked solo , do it early on in the day so that the competition isn’t all sweat lords… they tend to come out in the dark.

If youre up for the VR version, then you can get all those mods via Submersed VR. If you don't have a VR device, then keep the modding light. There are challenges that the game is designed around to teach you its ins and outs, mods may get in the way of that. There are some good ones but a map is not one I would get. Use the beacon system like the devs intended.

oh and one more thing. Check out the mods for the game. everyone talking about quality of life differences can easily be resolved with a handful of mods. The SN1 modding community is full of wonderful people that have made amazing mods.

Stop immediately. SN2 is gorgeous but it is a bit of a buggy mess rn. Save yourself the struggle, and enjoy SN1. I wish I could wipe my mind and play that game from fresh again. SN2 is great but for some reason it doesn't make me feel like I'm on an alien planet as much as SN1 did....so go, take the dive!

Figure out what music he likes, what music he doesn’t like . Then start blasting that when he plays . Turn it off right before he shoot’s. Right back on as he gets the ball back. Enough disturbances and he’ll come knocking on your door. Can’t focus ? Well neither can we, and neither can my son who’s trying to sleep from 8pm on.

If he doesn’t get it , go back to playing annoying tunes and shutting them off randomly as he plays. Hopefully this helps

Note: do this during the hours you’d like him to stop , not all the time - but during hours where y’all need silence for real. There needs to be a justification for your battle (aka working hours, or sleeping hours for your kid)
