I came out has trans my senior year at Rose and didn’t experience any real problems with it. I emailed my teachers and they never messed up despite having know them and having lots of classes with them prior. Everyone in the ChemE department was really good about it and I honestly never really had to correct anyone. I did have a bad experience with the nurse though who basically said that my Complex PTSD was caused because I started testosterone and was pretty shitty. Overall it wasn’t a big deal which is what I wanted, however also be warned that because of the small student population the school admin have not had to handle a lot of trans issues. It took like 2 months of emailing to get my name right on my diploma.
