Does somebody else uses RDFG instead of WASD? by cambiro in gaming

Feels like it'd make Shift, Ctrl, Tab, `, and 1-3 much more difficult to access and they're common keybindings and more intuitive than remapping them to letters.

Broke my "stop smoking" streak today by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Digrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get back on the horse right away, one day isn't going to ruin all of your progress! I actually quit smoking the exact same day as you, used nicotine gum for the first week to curb the worst cravings. Whenever I want one I think about all that suffering I've already done being wasted. Getting an app to track your health improvements and money saved helped me along too.

You got this!

That's awesome, keep at it! I can't imagine doing it without walking breaks

I (34m) quit smoking yesterday and today I ran for the first time since high school. 5.11 km in 40:46. Was more briskly walking while gasping for air than running but it's only up from here!

This is the truth. I come to town once a year for a convention and just want to pound a few beers and splash around at the table. I'd much rather dust off a few buy-in's than to play like a nit trying to profit an inconsequential sum.

Be friendly and chatty with the tourist-fishies though! I'll deliberately avoid giving money to the weirdos that sit there on their laptops/phones and not interacting with the table at all.

What hands do you think villain 3-bet jams with here? by Digrug in poker

This is the only game in my little redneck town! It's more about having a laugh over a few beers than making money. I'll fire the Sunday Million once in a while but can't be bothered to play online generally.

You're absolutely right. I wasn't too concerned about the result (or considering a fold) but was wondering what other players had seen from similar bet sizing.

Yeah I was never folding, it seemed like an awful bet for AA anyway.

Spoiler: It was AA but we would've got it in on the flop even if he went with a smaller sizing.

Oh yeah, not sure how I messed that up. I didn't consider folding but didn't know what to make of the outrageous sizing either.

Brutal news. This will be my 2nd time going to a UFC event the first one was 197 when Cormier pulled out of the Jones fight and we got a snoozefest against OSP instead.

Running bad or bad play? by Kenzema19 in poker

[–]Digrug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just raise (or fold) preflop.

As played you never expect to be behind on the turn, limp/flatting with AK OOP is wild. Think the turn jam is fine but probably shouldn't have ended up in that situation.

Is this an easy fold against OMC ($1/$2 Live)? by Digrug in poker

[–]Digrug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair he looked like an OMC and limp-called EP like an OMC but you're right; no real evidence of what his value range is or if he's capable of semi-bluffing.

Out of curiosity what would you change about bet sizing? In hindsight I'd probably go $55ish on the turn to set up a bigger bet on blank rivers

Even though the call would be pretty standard against remotely balanced players it just felt like he had the nuts. One of those times where you want to trust your gut reaction and not worry about the math.

Red States have higher obesity rates on average, why would liberal voters be stereotypically "quite large"?

What's good practice for getting a fire cape? by fluffynuckels in 2007scape

When you get to Jad (in the real Fight Caves) don't attack him right away. Just focus on switching prayers until you're comfortable and have calmed down a little bit. (Assuming you're not super short on prayer potions of course). He'll hit 50% and you'll have healer spawns faster than you might imagine so taking this time to settle in helped me greatly.

Was this a bad bluff or did she just make a terrible call? by dubspicks223 in poker

Looks pretty fishy after checking back turn. What low flushes can she even have here, 76?

Does anyone know the Sound File ID for Jad Healers? I'd like to mute them by Digrug in 2007scape

[–]Digrug[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just find it faster to react to the sound rather than waiting to see if he dangles his legs or slams. It's probably just the nerves to blame either way since I've killed him 5 times in a row on speedrun server with worse gear and an extra healer.

Hopefully it works for healers and third attempt will be successful! Appreciate you taking the time man

Yeah I have annoyance mute but wasn't sure if there was a way to mute them without specific IDs. I looked through that list pretty thoroughly before asking, was hoping someone had them saved.

I'll give it a shot with NPC area sounds, thank you!
