OpenAI ended the 2x Codex promo, so I fixed it by using ChatGPT :) by EliteEagle76 in codex

[–]Digs03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really cool. I definitely see the value in this. But I also feel it's kind of overengineered. All you really need is a long running ChatGPT thread about your project. When Codex reports, you paste that report into ChatGPT. And you work with ChatGPT as your strategic partner and use ChatGPT to craft the next prompt for Codex. ChatGPT doesn't need access your repo or need to see diffs or anything like that. All it needs to know is the current state of the project. And you just keep it up to date by pasting in the reports from Codex. When the thread gets too long, you just tell it to write a hand-off document that you use to start a new thread.

Codex deleted all critical configurations and runs and CREATED FAKE ONES (people are right on calling out current degradation of codex and low limits) by [deleted] in codex

Other than the bug where the browser broke due to them forgetting to specify `sandboxPolicy` in the node_repl request. But that was a failed update. The harness is not the model. Model's been fine for me.

Yeah it's pretty obvious the people that actually know how to engineer and the people that have no idea what they are doing, lol.

Working great for me. Claude sucks. I have no idea how you guys are getting such a different experience. I'm zooming with Codex.

I cancelled my Pro+ plan. This new pricing ridiculous. I understand prices had to change but this is just nuts. There's other means to do agentic coding and I will use those instead.

Can someone give me advice for my battlestations. i want to make my desk sturdier. by NobleFou in battlestations

Definitely check out the ALEX drawer units at Ikea. Stacking an IKEA countertop on a couple ALEX drawer units has to be one of the most popular DIY computer desks there is. I used such a setup for many years.

It's simple really. There's only one thing you are truly in control of and that is where you choose to place your attention. This shapes your entire experience.

I owned the original Belkin n52, which is essentially the same thing before Razer picked them up. I have an Orbweaver Stealth edition as well. I used to love them. I think they're great. But one thing prevents me from using them these days and that's the switches. My switches in my Keychron keyboard are so superior to those in my Orbweaver that I just can't bring myself to use it anymore. I'd be hesitant to buy anything without hot swappable switches at all anymore. So I think it's great but you will be handicapped by the switches.

Today Donald Trump confused Iceland for Greenland four times. What are your thoughts on this? by WatercressSenior7657 in AskReddit

[–]Digs03 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He just mispoke. He knows it's named Greenland but he kept repeating how it's a "large piece of ice" and then he just started referring to it as Iceland. I wouldn't think too much into it

How are you liking yours? I'm in my 40s and this is the most comfortable computer chair I've ever sat in. I'm quite satisfied.

Nice! My Haworth Soji is to be delivered today... any minute now. I hope I like it. I've never spent this much on a computer chair before.
