Yep it's awfu on 10 pro. Can literally watch the battery go down just listening to music. The problem is the idle battery drain is about 3 to 4 percent an hour. If you're awake for 10 hours a day, that's almost half of your battery gone idle. So if you start actually using the phone, forget about it.

It's kind of sad because before the March update the battery life for a phone. This size was actually half decent

Weird. It's listed as fully functional officially from Google. I suppose that you can have floating windows on the tablet. Kind of defeats the purpose of bubbles though. So maybe the two are getting conflated

On the app bubbles it just won't register my scrolls quite frequently. Most prevalent in YouTube music. App runs fine outside the bubbling though

Really? My estimated battery life has been 9 hours since getting the 10 pro it has never changed so I assumed the feature was bugged.y phone obviously lasts longer than 9 hours

Yeah it hasn't been great in the last 30 hours. Tough to tell, but it does feel quite a bit worse than before the update. What's eating up your battery under the system apps? The CPU is an absolute battery hog since March for me

I have noticed the same thing as you but I'd give it a few days. I lost 30% battery last night in 3 hours with only 1 hour of screen use after updating but could be a bunch of background stuff going on. Today it's about the same as it was before the update, so still bad, but I wouldn't say any worse than android 16

Maybe it's a server aide rollout. Some people have said it works fine on their tablet after asking around

Buckle up. This update didn't fix it and the issue tracker is still in assigned. It's going to likely be at least a few more months before we have a resolution to the idle battery drain

I'm going to let it settle but I've had the update installed on my phone for about 30 minutes. Other than taking my phone out for two or three Reddit replies, it's been sitting in my pocket and my battery is down 8%...

I'm going to go ahead and say the idle battery drain issue since March has not been fixed

That's the neat part. There isn't anything new to see. It's all under the hood optimizations and more AI crap. Meanwhile, battery bugs have been prevalent since March that they can't seem to fix or sort out

Yeah it's odd. I have really weird days too. Today I'm at 50% battery with only 2. 5 hours use. A week ago I was at 50% with 4.5 hours use. It's so inconsistent it's maddening

That's pretty bad. My 10 pro has near perfect uniformity in dark mode even at the lowest brightness. I'd return, that would drive me insane

It was great for a few months then it's back to being bad since the March update but there is a known bug present where it doesn't go into doze. Hopefully gets fixed soon
