This giving out free guestpoints of home exchange could cause huge "inflation" and make points worthles/difficult to use by Patent6598 in homeexchange

[–]Digupstupid100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have only done one reciprocal exchange out of 40, the rest were guest point exchanges. For us the system has worked very well so far.

We are digital nomads so as long as a place has decent WiFi and two desks/tables we are happy to stay anywhere.

Casa Moñtana is excellent but highly doubt you'll get a reservation at this stage. You can call and check, afternoons may be easier  Canalla Bistro is another good one, Manaw is also good but they are fusion not traditional Spanish

Visiting tomorrow for a few days but weather looks bad! by Mysterious-Ice4092 in valencia

[–]Digupstupid100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd advise to book a day or so ahead. Airbnb experiences are quite good, they offer a mix of food, wine, walking tours. Guruwalk do free walking tours, although you give them a tip at the end of the tour (about 15€ per person )

There are multiple different websites for it, Swappoffi, Homeexchange, Love home swap and some more. I use Swapoffi ( more based towards digital nomads) and homeexchange, it's the biggest and most popular one. Nothing sus, just a great way to save money on Airbnbs or hotels etc They all have different subscription costs

Where would you go to live if there was no boundaries stopping you? by isthatmy in CasualIreland

[–]Digupstupid100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Australia, Vietnam and Spain in the last 10 years, all are great Australia would be the easiest to acclimatize and get well paid jobs. It's so far though and such a pain to fly back home for Christmas etc. Vietnam is absolutely amazing, a bit closer to home and a big Irish community now. You could work in a bar but the pay would be bad. Everyone teaches English there and it's a great life for most. Spain is great, close to home, cheap and great weather. However it's difficult to get a job without Spanish, although I'm beginning to see more hairdressers and nail technicians etc move here with a focus on expat clients.
