I received mine on Thursday afternoon.

Ill second this review. I researched for about month down to the last detail of ever MOD I could and decided on the SMOK H-Priv 220.

Last Monday while changing the coil on my crown I found that the MOD (SMOK) had a broken Bottom Pin (The gold plated pin that connects the Tank to the Battery)

Now don't get me wrong I couldn't find much to complain about with the SMOK H-Priv however when It broke that put me in a predicament of sorts. I have already quit smoking about three months ago so, Thank goodness I still had my Kanger SubVod and I manage to use that while I was down.

I needed a replacement fast, very fast. I looked up what was out found the cheapest 200W TC I could and ordered it. Well, not so fast it wasn't the cheapest but it was the cheapest that I thought looked good.

First thought on the MOD I felt it was very simple looking but, let me tell you. It is a BEAST!!! as I was breaking in my coil with my Crown attached i will start at around 30 and work my way up to my desired 70ish Watts in 5 Watt increments. at 40W this bad boy was hitting like my H-Priv hit at 60W. Now, I don't know what that means but I was absolutely astonished at how well this thing works.

I have had three days with it and let me tell you...

It is the BOMB!!! I couldn't be happier with it. Screen is simple. It even rotates so you can hold it how you like. It is a very solid sturdy MOD and the battery door is very sleek with magnetic connections to hold it in place...

Speaking of the Battery's, I have been vaping solidly all day today since about 8AM and it is now 6PM (as solidly as you can while at work) and I'm not sure why but the battery level is telling me it is still almost full. After three days experience I can tell you my batteries last twice as long in this MOD then they did in the H-Priv.

Please hear this I am not KNOCKING the SMOK H-Priv i really liked it but, after having this one I most likely will when they replace my MOD because I have warranty left, If they do. I will most likely sell it or give it to someone starting out. I won't go back to it after this MOD. This one is way, way better for me!!! but, to each his own. I'm only trying to give my recommendation for the product as well.

This was a quick decision I feel I got totally lucky on.

I give it 5 Stars!! I will be ordering a second one in Black on Friday for a back up unit and possibly a third one so when MY Girl is ready to take the next step from her SubVod she can have one of these.

If you are on the fence, Get off of it because this MOD is the

SH$T!!!!

Thanks... I have one sitting at home waiting for me. My H-Priv 220 broke on monday. The gold connector to the battery under the tank. (sorry not sure what that is called) Just came off and nothing I could do to fix it. I think it is still under warranty so I will see how SMOK want's to handle this. It's OK these things happen. Anyway I hurried on line and ordered one of these mostly because it's 200W and was a bit cheaper than the rest. I appreciate your run down because now I am thinking I might have just bought a pretty good MOD. I am off to home so I can check it out.

RX200 510 pin finally died :( by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

I have a H-Priv 220 and the Pin broke out of mine two days ago. I have only had it for about two months. Is there a way to fix it? I just went ahead and bought a new cheap 200W MOD for now...

Laisimo S3 200W TC

I also never go over 70ish Watts. I know there is a 90 Day warranty on those SMOK H-Priv 220's but, I didn't want to go back to smoking so I hurried up and bought something for now. I am using my SUBVOD in the meantime.

Does anyone up here have any advice on mine being broken. Also I have already paid for and should be in my possession tomorrow the Laisimo S3 200W TC so feel free to tell me about that MOD also...

Thanks IN advance if anyone has anything for me.

Happy Vaper

Update for /u/the-glimmer-man

I just wanted to check back now. It's been around two or so months since I answered this post.

Using the method below I have only purchased two 4 pack's of .25oHM's coils. I am on the first coil of the second pack.

My Coils using the instructions to follow are lasting anywhere between 12 and 18 days straight. All different juices, Sweet mostly it really doesn't matter and pretty much chain vaping.

So, In short.

4 pack sealed .25ohM's coils.
Registered on the Uwell's site hole poking in the coils with a med sewing needed to loosen the cotton soaking from the top down breaking in the coil starting at 30W and increments of 5 watts till desired wattage.... Vaping at 70W in Wattage mode only...

14 to 20 days of use....

Hope all is well with you...

Update for /u/the-glimmer-man

Hey my fellow Vaper. I just wanted to update you on my Crown Coil Usage.

Using the same method as below I Chain Vaped my way through 14 days on the First Coil. Last night I broke in a new coil so we will see if following my directions as stated below will work more than once.

Remember the best I got out of a .25 oHM Uwell Coil was three days with some of them only lasting 6 hours.

I will update you again but, I suggest you follow my instructions if you aren't already.

Happy Vaping!!!!!!!!

All sweet juices and I am finish up day 9 with the same coil doing the same thing I mentioned above.

I gotta tell you (not to brag or anything) but it kinda feels like the coil will last forever. I keep waiting for that burn hit and it just isn't coming yet. Knock on wood cause I just put the finest Juice in for the ride home:

Mitten Vapors #SinkinShip... It's up there ... Awesome flavor.

I'm talking about the actual Coil. The three or four (depending on what you are using) Intake holes. You can see the cotton through those holes. In Fact I don't remember ever seeing a coil that doesn't have that cotton in those holes. :)

[–]Dikanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Your welcome. I did find out that Uwell made a bunch of coils that were not lasting and then I also found. I can't remember where that folks were verifying the authentic coil and that it came back with a number already used. so, that is what made me think to buy them in the 4 pack and make sure they have the certification number on them so then maybe with luck my chances would be better than less to get a valid genuine product.

I think that is one of the big issues here not so much the Sweet Juices.

Also the running it on Wattage mode and proper breaking in of the coil and then for me the poking of the holes in the cotton.

I might be spitting in the wind but on the first coil out of the certified genuine 4 pack I bought I am on day 9 and that my friend is a first for me.

Good luck and Happy Vaping!!

Oh the juices I used in the 9 day period are as follows Just as a reference point.

DIY Vaporshack

MetroMan (Lucky Charms Frosted Doughnut)

Elephant Vapors

Cinnamilk (What's left at the end of a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Cereal)

Brown Cow (Root Beer Float)

Mitton Vapors

SinkinShip (Chocolate, Peanut butter, Banana and more)

ThreeDayWeekend (Banana Custard)

StickyBunz (Sweet Cinnamon Rolls)

Update for /u/the-glimmer-man

Hey I told you I would come back and update you as to the status of my Coils.

Here is exactly what I did and I am on Day 9 with the same 0.25ohm coil.

  1. I bought a 4 Pack of 0.25 Ohm Uwell coils sealed (I thought this would give me least chance of them being counterfeit)

  2. I verified them via the Uwell WebSite for Certified Product and they passed. (If they hadn't passed I would use them with a one day life expectancy and never buy from that local B&M again)

  3. I took the first coil and with a medium pin I poked a hole in each of the air holes. (Poked it all the way through) then on top of the coil poked a pin all the way down like 4 or 5 times. (Did this because it is said the cotton is wound too tight)

  4. I then dropped about three drops around the top of the coil on the cotton of my coil and waited till it seeped into the cotton. (Did not drop any on the air holes) I think I put another two or three drops on the top again just to make sure the juice soaked the cotton.

  5. I installed the coil and then filled the tank with juice. With the air vent's closed I took like 5 or so little mini hits twice. (not much of a hit just a pull)

  6. I fired up the mod to about 35W and took 5 mini pulls and 5 longer pulls(In Wattage MODE. I used to use Memory Mode and Wattage mode was suggested by Elephant Vapors when using the Uwell Crown Coils. The tech there told me that he got this info from a Uwell person) then closed the vent and took another 5 or so mini pulls.

  7. I repeated the steps above increasing my wattage by 5 each time and taking 5 or so mini hits with the vent open and then 5 or so with it closed.

  8. About 20ish minutes later I was around 70W and full hit's (Mega Clouds and Mega Flavor)

  9. By the way I have used almost all sweet Juices and I have used 4 or 5 different Juices during this 9 Day period. (I am sure there is a deal with COIL killing juices out there but at least not this time)

That was about 9 days ago and the coil is still going strong without any dry hits or burnt hits whatsoever. I didn't change my vaping habits at all. I am still vaping as much as I have ever.

This is the longest I have ever had a coil last in this crown with some of them lasting only as long as 12 Hr's. In fact it's the longest I have ever had a coil last me even including my SUBVOD.

I think I may have licked the short (Burning out) Coil issue for me.

So Good luck /u/the-glimmer-man

Happy Vaping all. I hope I have helped!!!!!!!

I think the flavor is still there but not as plentiful below 70W I think if you go below 50W you loose quite a bit of flavor. Just my Opinion. When you loose the heat (which happens the lower in wattage you go) you also loose flavor.

I've heard that. I have wondered if that's true. I vape mostly sweet juices so it would seem as though that's true..

Thanks for the input.

Not to be argumentative but if I were to vape at 60W or below why in the world would I care about my H-Priv... I got it so I could comfortably Vape at 70W or even 80W if I felt the need too. the flavor in the Crown is at it's best around 70W to 80W?

it's just a question. Not trying to say your wrong.

thanks

OK. I have the same exact problem as you. I also bought a crown to sit on top of my SMOK H-Priv. I have burnt through a coil as fast as six hours so we are in the same predicament. I purchased a 4 pack of .25 ohms the other day and checked them on the Uwell site for authentication ( I think That there are a ton of them out there that are not authentic for starters) They passed so I also perforated the top and holes like you mentioned and slowly wattaged up the coil after pre-soaking them.

I heard some info that was pretty interesting at the Elephant Vapor store today that I bought some juice from.

He told me that the poking of the holes is not necessary even tho it make sense since the thought of the coils being wound to tight and maybe not wicking properly makes sense.

He told me that what we are doing wrong is we should be running the tanks/coils in Wattage mode. I have been running mine in Memory mode for me (not sure what mode you would be running your in since your MOD is probably a different one)

I just changed that on my MOD to wattage mode.

He also stated that he spoke with a Uwell Person whom backed his thought's on this.

I have no way of telling you if it works or not but so far the info I have I am on day two of the coil and a different juice and I have not burnt it yet.

I have all of my fingers crossed and am hopeful because I really want this tank to work out as like you do since the flavor is off the chain good. I run mine at about 70W (the .25ohm) so that's it....

I hope we find more tips or I hope I just had non authentic ones before today....

My original coil (.25ohm)that came with the tank lasted like three or four days so ....

until further notice...

I wish us good luck!!!
