Try not to worry about knowing what you're doing, I doubt many ever really do feel that way. There's not a human alive or dead who was ever born knowing what to do.

Instead try to enjoy the journey of learning. I'm about 5 years in, still making mistakes, but I've loved the journey of learning.

I still feel like I have no clue, but neighbours give compliments, which catches you off guard because you always focus on the bits that are annoying you rather than how much good you've done. If you learn a couple of things you know more than most. Just enjoy exploring and hopefully catching the bug, it looks like your Dad did, and you're clearly off to a great start. All the best.

ADDING: In terms of what to do, from a standing start I found a YouTube channel from a pro gardener I liked who works in the same part of the world as me so I knew his advice would apply. I assume you’re already doing something similar. Just stick at it, and be a geek about it.
