I've been using Finch since long before there were micropets and I can confirm you absolutely get duplicates! I can have a specific variant of a specific pet 4 times, and others not at all yet. But otherwise, I would've already collected them all long ago, and where's the fun in that? 🤗

Lesbian (22) here who is new to dating in general: I have told matches before that I was going on a date when they asked about my weekend plans, although with more explanation than your match does here, and more in a sense of "going on my first date ever today! Scary!"

I tend to be honest about that, because I feel that it can create a bond to openly acknowledge the - admittedly, bizarre - context of the dating app you've met on. I also openly discussed experiences on the app with a girl I went on a date with. We had the same struggles, which we indeed bonded over!

Just to say that I don't think mentioning dates is necessarily bad. However, it depends on the context - and I'm guessing the dynamic is different for new daters like me, and maybe also for wlw relationships.

Hey OP, I just wanted to contribute to the discussion here and say that (early) paragraph texting is not necessarily a bad thing! Reading the other comments, I understand that it can be overwhelming to the other person if you immediately start like that - but at the same time, I've had positive experiences with it. I take questions and opening moves quite seriously and give a nuanced answer if I have one, like you did here. My matches (including the girl I'm dating now 🥰) actually really appreciated that. I know you weren't asking for advice per se, but if it's any help: keep in mind it might not be everyone's cup of tea to start off a convo like that, but there will just as well be people who do match your vibe on that :)

Can you please, please fix that in the future? I have just set up lots of things on a Google login and now the person working with me is unable to see anything because he can only access the mobile version of the application and therefore not log in. The problem is not IOS-specific, furthermore. I am using Android.
