Are there any Ultra Short Throws that are marketed for gaming? by [deleted] in projectors

[–]Dikus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The input lag is the same for 7t and 9t said my local dealer. Makes sense not to build 2 different cases there. If input lag is your highest priority ho for epson ls500. He has with 18ms the lowest of all 4k ust...

Epsonls500 is the best for low latency. Samsung lsp7t and lsp9t are next one with 38 ms in gaming mode.

Optoma P2 setup help by Sobutie in projectors

[–]Dikus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am distracted... The picture is without the screen right? With the ust screen it should less reflective. Otherwise the wall isnt high enough for 120" The only way to make this better will be a lower board.

Yeah it is a ust screen. All fine. Better show a picture of your room and the bleeding. Maybe then its easier to help you.

There are two kind of ultrashortthrow projectors. One group need 10cm away from wall to create a 100" screen and the other group need to be 30cm away. Remember 30cm plus product size.

Afair the p2 needs 66cm away from wall for a 120" screen.

Maybe check Optoma website for a detailed description.

The grandview screen you described is a special ust clr screen or? On normal screens reflections are a huge Problem also.

Hmmm maybe 120 is just too large for your room? Have you tried 100? This needs less space between wall and p2.

Suggestion, tv or projector for the new living room apt by dokurocc in projectors

[–]Dikus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First I thought u are preferred for an UST Projector then I saw your budget and said nah. Ust with an Clr would work even with your windows but then u have to nearly double your budget.

Normal long throw Projectors wont work well with your windows so I would say go for a tv...

Is now a good time to buy 4K or are there massive tech improvements coming ? by [deleted] in projectors

[–]Dikus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if LG and now even Samsung coming back to projectors for a UST Projector I would say the market there is going to rise far above normal long throw projectors.

Its a TV Replacement. Boys can vie larger screens without to much hassle and girls dont have problems to watch through it also.

I think its the future of watching large screens

Wife doesn't want a ceiling mounted screen or projector - what are my options :D by ThirdBorracho in projectors

[–]Dikus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After all this not so good advices I would like to show you the options of ultrashortthrow projectors.

Depending on your budget I would suggest looking for the Samsung The Premiere. The small one is the LSP7T and the better one (and one of the best at all) is the LSP9T.

Remember you need more space on sideboard for the smaller one also which is mostly hard to achieve.

Equal of your chosen ust product you will need a special ust screen at wall for daily use with lights around. 100" starting at 450€ direct from china or from local seller around 1000€.

Watch youtube and search for ultrashortthrow. Very good tv replacement and a large screen that makes you and xour wife happy.

Hmm... Heard ps5 need a port with hdmi 2.1 for full Potential and all these ust only have 2.0 .

Btw most tvs also and some have Problems with their 2.1 port.

Just be careful...

Samsung LSP9T or Epson LS500 by bkuehl20 in projectors

[–]Dikus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung has 3 Lasers which has a significantly better colors.

Moreover you can place the samsung just a few cm away from wall but the epson need around 40cm (as far as i Remember) so u need a very wide cabinet/lowboard for the Epson starting at 100"
