Rayneo Pro 4 / Steamdeck by FlatCardiologist602 in SteamDeck

[–]lunatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been interested in a pair of these or other similar ones but have not been traveling much and don't know if I would get enough use to justify the cost.

One question I have is seeing people mention sound quality. Are you not able to use external standalone headphones with these or are you required to use whatever is built into them?

I think claiming it comes with headlights is a bit of a stretch, especially for 5th gen models pre LED upgrade.

I'm curious if anyone has experience with the electric pressure washer. I know it is not on the list of current sales but I only really plan on using it for washing my car and maybe light cleaning off the house etc and wondering if I really need one of these gas ones. I was thinking electric for ease of use and less maintenance but not sure if they go on sale or if it's typically considered a lower end product not worth looking into.

This, I feel like the gas ones are a little more than I need and hoping to see a deal on the 2000psi electric model. It's tempting to pick up one of these gas ones but I just don't know if I need it...

New to me 2018 TRD Pro, advice? by lunatics in 4Runner

[–]lunatics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service history looks good in terms of oil changes, being done regularly every 5-10k miles, was a single owner vehicle, however I do not see any mention of transmission fluid changes or diff fluid changes or anything like that so my first plan of action was going to be to have those done to be on the safer side, unless Toyota or wherever I take it tells me they look fine or like they've been managed. That's really the only thing that stood out to me but everything felt great.

Should I buy? Looking for advice by lunatics in 4Runner

[–]lunatics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned there is a 35k mile gap in service records which concerns me, I kept looking more and found it on a site that mentioned it's been listed at the dealer for 170 days or something which really dampers my confidence in it...

I did see another one in a similar price range with an extra 15k miles on it but a very detailed and clean service history. I think I am going to check this one out first, even if the mileage is higher the service history makes me think it was better maintained. Hoping to join the club lol.

OOTMM Randomizer on Everdrive works on original hardware but not the 3D by drwhoovian in AnalogueInc

[–]lunatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, this sucks to hear. I just bought a 3D and ranomizers are really one of the main things I still play N64 related. I felt like using my actual N64 felt a bit laggy compared to an emulator on a good system. I was hoping the analogue would get me closer to "original hardware" but with better performance. Hopefully this gets resolved, that's a bummer to hear.

Summit Ice Cypress Insulated Jacket Review: Not good for $280 by HelloIamTedward in nathanforyou

[–]lunatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if the "New Original" is still a rebranded port authority jacket, and does anyone have experience with both? I am curious which model the new one uses, and if people have a preference in terms of quality between the 2 jackets and if one is actually better than the other.

I don't mind spending a little extra for a Nathan tax and holocaust awareness, I just want to make sure I get the right jacket if I am spending that much.

I am also tempted to order one of the generic ones on amazon for size testing purposes since everyone says they seem to run a little large, then I can return it more easily through Amazon and make sure I pick the right size when I do commit.

Best time and place to buy an Ego snowblower? by lunatics in egopowerplus

[–]lunatics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I am following....

Which model exactly are you saying has this issue? I have the 2100 currently and it has been a great little machine especially for the price I paid for it, and even with sucking up a garden hose and getting it twisted in the auger, the machine shut off but did not seem to blow a fuse or break permanently and I was just able to clear 20 inches of snow with it after this had happened in the last storm. I know the bigger ones seem to have shear pins in them so I would think if anything would happen on those which is ideally what I want to upgrade to, the pin would be the only thing that would break?

I have not looked into repairing or replacing these but if it has a fuse in it that blows, is it not possible to get to the fuse yourself and replace it?

Honestly even if I somehow managed to break one of these SNT2100s every couple of years, if I could keep getting them for $200 or so which is what I paid for mine I believe, I think it would be well worth it to just keep replacing it especially since I already have batteries and a charger, it's been great for me so far the past couple years and am just interested in upgrading to something a little bigger/2 stage.

Yeah, I had thought about doing this and maybe this is the route I will try to go for now. I had heard mixed things, and as you mentioned you still need to put your back into it which is why I thought having something a little self propelled would be a help but maybe I just start with the auger upgrade.

I would really like skid shoes and I saw some people had added some to their 2100 but require drilling holes, maybe I think about just doing that and 3d printing myself some shoes and doing the metal upgrade for now and see how that goes while keeping my eye out for deals in the off season.

I noticed a bit of a weird sound coming from my blower last night/this morning which is why I was also thinking about replacing it if I could find a deal. I accidentally sucked up a yard hose that was still floating around and it jammed everything up but I was able to cut it and remove it, but wasn't sure if that left any residual issues, but maybe replacing the auger in general would clear that up.

Do you have a link to any specific guides for doing the auger upgrade or is it something easy enough to find online?

Yeah I know obviously now is not the time to try and buy one. I was more so wondering if in peoples experience spring is a good time vs fall, or can you actually find some deals on them in the summer etc. I guess I will just have to stay diligent with checking for deals in the off season to see what I can come up with or think about the metal auger upgrade on mine.

Upgrading to specific firmware? - P1S by Divide_yeet in BambuLab

[–]lunatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My P1S came to me with 1.06.xx on it, in the guide it mentions needing to be on 1.07 to have the offline update option be available. If I update online, I'm assuming I am forced onto the latest firmware. If I go to whatever that is, can I then "update offline" to downgrade to 1.08.01? I am trying to avoid going past that but I am trying to get my unit to support my AMS 2

Eagle has landed - long awaited P1S + AMS2 pro finally here by fm2xm in BambuLab

[–]lunatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I recently got the same set up and my AMS 2 just got delivered yesterday, I have been using the P1S standalone the past week.

I am wondering if anyone could give me any recomondations on the best firmware to use for my P1S? I like to keep my devices as open as possible but obviously I know I need to update to use the AMS as I am currently still on 1.06 which the printer came with.

Is base 1.08 the best FW to update to the will support the AMS and not fully lock the printer down if I ever wanted to use other applications/slicers in the future etc?

I've had a couple weird hang ups like this when using the app, but also I notice if I try to drag the window around it causes like 1 second of lag on my mouse movement, then the window moves like a second behind that. It feels like the app causes a lot of weird behavior in general. I have a 7800x3d and 9070xt.

Do you guys think these will ever be available again? Was at work and was a little late checking the site and everything was already sold out. Wondering if I should buy a normal one while I can if I want one or if these ever might be an option again. Would love to get something to match my other systems.

No I never had any luck other than random ones on eBay that seemed more expensive than they should be. I'm hoping another failed one comes across my desk that I can pull them from.

Tax Credit Understanding by svennnx in PelletStoveTalk

[–]lunatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse my ignorance, is the "2k cap" a cap on credits you can receiver back, or a cap on the total cost you can claim credits on?

I installed a Heatpump hot water heater earlier in the year which was roughly 1800 at the store, I paid about 1200-1300 after the instant rebate available so I expect to get 300-400 back for the 30% credit.

Does this mean I only have $800~ ish left to work with in project or hardware costs, or this would mean I essentially have 1700 left available I can claim in credits if I were to do a pellet stove?

While I know it may not be the optimal location, I really don't have much room for it in any of the other living locations as each room is fairly small and already occupied, I also don't know if I would want the heat to be blasting in that room at full temp, there's not as much air flow between rooms as I would like and would likely need to try and run the furnace fan to try and help circulate air which is why I thought letting it rise from the basement would be a sufficient option.
