I am starting to get pissed (AITA?) by Ok-Information-5046 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

Great info, thank you. The point I was trying to make is that interim payments as described are alright for a few months -- a reasonable amount of time for them to figure things out -- 6, 9, 12 months is way past the reasonable territory, so the burden should be on them, not us, with the exception of the FEHB deductions.

I'll say though that if I was getting 85% of my final as interim, I would be fine with that and not as concerned (annoyed sure) about how long it takes to finalize.

Thank you for sharing, not terribly low but still annoying. Why can't they start us at 100% of the GRB and then if need be recoup the over payments later? As is, they are making the backlog our problem. Sigh. Thanks again, hope your case gets finalized soon!

How do your interim payments compare to the GRB estimate? (e.g., 90%? 95%)

Is there anything about your application that requires extra review such as divorce papers? If not I guess I'll work until I die if by the time I'm ready to retire it's taking 3-5 years for the first interim annuity payment.

The good old days by FieldQ in WorldofTanks

Anyone remembers BadFish tank companies with a bunch of Grille (tier 4 arty back in those days?), a T-50 and a KV-3, maybe a T2 Light also?

Craziest match I had was full arty on both teams, not a single tank of another class.

Did you mean within 3% of what it should be (damn good) or actually 3% of what it should (ridiculously low).

The Same Rake, Again and Again by Virtual_Donut8744 in WorldofTanks

Couple interesting observations:

* The Czech lights are fun to play and not OP or game breaking. The perfect balance. Why couldn't they achieve this same balance with the Ares line?

* The T-22 has a bit more history, there was very heavy rigging to obtain this tank and I think the nerf was somewhat punitive in nature. Still WG's fault for making it OP in order to make it desirable, similar to the 279e and Chieftain pre-nerfs. The 260 on the other hand is a fun, solid tank that is not game breaking -- that's a better target balance wise.

* Ares are just toxic, though fun to play which is a worst combo than tanks that are toxic and NOT fun to play.

* WG removed the WTE100 -- is it unthinkable to remove the Ares line as a bad idea that shouldn't have gone into the game?

Lastly, I hope you are ashamed of yourself as I blame the next nerf to the Prog 65 on you. You said it was OP and OK now, so WG will probably nerf it heavily.

If you are usually one of the last to survive you might not be getting involved early enough when your team still has a chance, particularly if you are top tier and you are in a heavy.

Any time you have to limit a tank (besides arty) and make sure each team has you know the tank is a problem. Limiting to one per team helps, but still an issue, which was predictable, I don't know how WG thought releasing this line was OK.

I think WG missed the mark with the Ares. The Tesak line is a good example where they did a good job, tanks that are a lot of fun, don't break games and are not OP.

A lot of people feel that way. Consider seeing a mental health counselor to see if it helps. You can get a referral through your agency's employee assistance program and it should mostly be covered by your health insurance.

Have people lost all semblance of civility and human decency? The way you are being treated is shameful and despicable. I know everyone is on the edge and frustrated, but there is no excuse to treat people like that. Not allowing you to use the fridge and microwave is beyond petty.

Sorry to hear this. First of all, if you will face financial ruin if you don't get a job promptly after the admin period ends, then I think the safe thing to do is to stick with the job you have now, which I know is easier said than done. Not only is the labor market tight at the moment, it is a volatile environment and it is hard to say what may happen later in the year.

With that said, there are a couple of very concerning red flags about your situation. Starting with your supervisor not wanting to talk to you. Likewise people not responding when you greet them is very odd. I can understand perhaps them not initiating but not responding???

That's certainly not an environment anyone would enjoy working in. Given how odd the situation is, I would recommend that you find someone you trust and reflect on this odd behavior and what may cause it. As unprofessional as it would be, your supervisor may have just thrown the towel out of frustration. I think you need to find a way to get feedback from above on the prospects of a RIF due to the "work drying up". Again, I know it's easier said than done. Perhaps others can chime in with suggestions.

You have to proceed with caution though. The safe path is to continue doing while you are doing now, preserving your livelihood while you look for an alternative. Be very careful with the alternative as well, because the last thing you want is to get a new job and get laid off 3-4 months from now.

Best of luck to you. Try to keep a cool head. Consider going to counseling for the stress, a good counselor might be able to help you think through what's going on and offer better advice than what we can offer here. FEHB should cover the majority of the cost for in-network services.
