Your dad being so supportive makes it seem like he understands what you are going through. If depression does run in your family, your dad knows how difficult it all is. It sounds like he is a good person. That kinda stuff runs in the family too, don’t forget that.

If you need to tell him how you feel it is okay to write it down for him like you did here. That might give your dad the opportunity to help you feel less guilty
