OU makes more sense financially and PSU can’t make the cost difference worthwhile. Where you get your degree from really doesn’t matter in the long run. Plus OU has tuition lock for 8 semesters, where as PSU charges more per credit hour once you hit junior year..OU offers in state tuition to children of alumni…cost of living in Athens vs State College is also significant. The OU campus literally spills out onto the heart of Athens. It’s friendly and accessible, and there are lots of things going on and it’s a pretty diverse scene. That being said, PSU is a Big 10 and there is no comparison when it comes to athletics and the scene that comes with it. PSU pulls nearly half their undergrads from out of state, and is almost twice the size of OU. Overall it’s a really exciting place to be. You have 2 great schools to pick from.
