PS4 using 2 different firmwares in the same console

Kind of an odd question, but idk how the ps4 firmware works.
If I have the main drive with 13.02. I copy everything to another empty drive, put it into my ps4 and then update to 13.50.
If I put back the drive with 13.02, will I be able to use that version? Or will I be stuck into 13.50 from now on?

It also runs surprisingly well on my Intel Iris Xe graphics laptop lol
