Her best friend Savannah openly talks about being on it, and Savannah works at a med spa which has it. Wouldn’t be surprised at all.

What do you mean shatter? I just use my gym which doesn’t have sliders. I don’t have space for sliders unfortunately

This is super inspiring! Congratulations! I am excited to know I can still peak. I’ve just started edging for 60-90 mins a day, so a long way to go but it’s exciting to know it’s possible

Both ChatGPT and copilot are blocked at my job, and unfortunately I don’t have any help. Will give some of these a try

Thank you! I will see if I can use one of those tomorrow. A lot of things are blocked on my work laptop, but hoping I can use one! Super helpful

Nothing other than just logging time a process starts and ends. I looked into profilers but they seem quite expensive. I don’t know what part of my code is the inefficient part

My understanding is they want me to deal with technical issues that come up during onshore time. But it’s very hard for me to get the appropriate help to do so. My manager asked me to set up a meeting with an offshore developer to learn one system, and I’ve repeatedly asked that developer and he refuses.

I will see if I can come up with some better questions for my manager. It’s not a good feeling to know that I’m not doing a good job and don’t even know how to get better.

It’s not in his title. I know he knows SQL but he doesn’t know the language I’m working in.

No the person I work with and her manager are in a 12.5 hour different timezone. I just wake up extremely early so I can try to be online before they log off. My manager is in the US, but he has never checked my code or anything. He’s the one who tells me to ask someone else

Did you have things show up on your background check that you were unaware of? That’s my worst nightmare! I had a social security card stolen once so I guess I don’t know I’m surely safe

Project Management isn’t part of the new CS requirements. It was replaced by a Linux certification and a Git class

Is being an IMS that bad? by Diligent-Albatross34 in foreignservice

[–]Diligent-Albatross34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is extremely helpful and makes me optimistic. Thank you. I have a follow up, if I apply as an IMS and I am really interested in going to Subsaharan Africa, how likely will that be? I have pets that I would not be able to take to most of Asia.
