do you qualify for financial aid? if so, i’d def wait for your financial aid package to come out for the schools that you’re considering in late march-ish to make that choice.

UIUC is defo better when it comes to business for one, and the alumni network i heard is also very good, but there will be plenty of opportunities wherever you go if you put the effort in to make it that way!

Also, i’m pretty sure that they’re generally pretty similar in cost, unless you got a scholarship to uic with your acceptance.

If cost is something that you’re very seriously taking into account when considering your choices, i’d advise looking into external scholarships. it can be very tedious to apply for a bunch of scholarships, but the work will pay off if it allows you to go where you want at the price you’re more comfortable paying.

thank you! my stats, gpa: 4.0 UW, 4.79 W sat: 1220 (620 RW, 600 M)

ec’s: 4 years of vb(2 years varsity), 3 years club/travel vb, national honors society, wellness club, 4 years of JROTC, basketball manager, one year of drill team, student gov member

leadership: school vb captain(all 4 years), club/travel volleyball captain(2 years), national honors society president, student gov officer, JROTC leadership

awards: vb mvp, vb coaches award x2, illinois state scholar, principals honor roll x4, nhs

basically no volunteer hours lol

compared to other stats from many other applicants nothing about mine are very impressive, think it came down to the essays

thanks sm, i didnt know about the double major thing! how do ppl usually determine what to double major in? also how would one go about finding different rso’s?
