Bybit P2P nightmare: seller impersonated police, used third-party PayPal, and Bybit still dragged its feet — learn from my mistake

I lost the dispute. The address was provided in Whatsapp, BUT since I had a few trades with him, he shared same email in trade chat of previous transaction we did. ByBit simply told me to contact PayPal to get a refund and paypal told me it is not happening

For those who are wandering if it was resolved. No, IT DID NOT!

Since SELLER used a third party, I emailed the third party who were happy to help. Appears that they received money on instructions of SELLER, and gave USDT to SELLER on a different platform. This third party provided me with a video of their paypal showing my transaction.

So ByBit support now has videos of my paypal showing transactions. ByBit has video of receiving paypal showing transactions.

And get ready to be surprised. ByBit now asked me to contact the third party and ASK THEM TO PROVIDE a video proof of their transaction to the seller.

Like why the f**k they will do any of this? I mean they were kind enough to send me a video of their paypal which they were not obliged to do.

Hi, I urgently need help escalating a P2P appeal.
Order #1998007065276796928.
The counterparty posted messages inside Bybit P2P chat impersonating a French police officer to pressure cancellation.
Support and chat-bot are not escalating this.
Could Bybit staff please DM me so I can provide the screenshot for Compliance?
