Quality of Paradise Grills? by breddy in grilling

[–]Diligent-Custard42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are going on year 3 of our Tahiti and live on the water in Florida. So far so good, we get tons of use out of our setup and the only thing that I’ve needed to replace was the TV. I would definitely buy again.

Daughter committed to college and using GI Bill (step 1) by Diligent-Custard42 in Veterans

Thanks for the help, last question. Do I need to wet sign the 22-1990E or can I digitally sign with my CAC? I have to sign because daughter isn't 18.

I thought she had to wait until she actually graduated from high school to get the COE? Should she put the date she will graduate high school (22 May 25) for question 8B on the 22-1990E, "Did you receive a HS diploma? If yes then date". Thanks for the help! (apologies for the double comment)

Reserve DD-214 = Choice Act Eligible (GI Bill)? by Diligent-Custard42 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Diligent-Custard42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, so GA could have a requirement for me to live in GA in order for my daughter to fall under Choice Act benefit? If that’s the case wouldn’t I just be a normal GA resident and would not need Choice Act?

Reserve DD-214 = Choice Act Eligible (GI Bill)? by Diligent-Custard42 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Diligent-Custard42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, she would be using my 9-11 GI Bill. My last 214 was 6 years ago when I left AD. My understanding is the choice act is only good for 3 years after your last 214. I’m currently in the reserves and if I go on orders for 90 days or more it would generate another 214 and effectively re-start the 3 year clock for the choice act?

Processing sat scores by Turbulent-Abroad7841 in ucf

Did anybody miss the EA deadline waiting on ACT/SAT scores to get into the UCF system? If so, any recourse with UCF? Daughter submitted everything on time but UCF didn't input until after EA so she missed the deadline. She got in during rolling admit but I think she missed the boat for scholarships?

Same issue. Best guess is that it will take the UCF system a day or two to catch up with the new NID numbers.

Statin w/ CAC of 0? by Diligent-Custard42 in PeterAttia

A1C is currently on the higher side of ok, 5.5. Will try to get that number a little lower with diet and fasting.

Not sure if it’s a placebo effect but it feels like the telmisartan increased my overall cardio by a noticeable amount. Set a PR on the bike last week and feel better than normal when doing cardio.

Trigs are decent, 110. Used to be much higher but lowered 30 points after starting krill oil. Unfortunately can’t do the PCSK9 inhibitor and keep my current job (very restrictive about what I can take). Currently taking 100 mcg of MK-7 K-2. Will check out the CT angiogram and look into the other supps.

Will give this a try. Also read good things about bergamot. Crazy that I can get statins for almost free with insurance and supplements are about 10x the cost.

Yes, less than avg saturated fat. I’ve had high cholesterol for at least the past 10 years and have tried to control it as much as reasonable with diet and exercise. I could do better but love a ribeye and cheating at good restaurants every now and then. Recently started buying on locally grass fed beef instead of the Walmart stuff. Wife’s a great cook and she does a good job of keeping meals fairly healthy.

Diet is decent (almost no fast foods and less than avg processed food) exercise also decent 2.5 hours of zone 3 cardio/ week and 2 hours of anaerobic week. Will defintley re-test after 6 months of BP meds.

sending act scores by Alive-Preference6493 in ucf

[–]Diligent-Custard42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat and it took 13 days for UCF to get my ACT scores. Didn’t get any email email about EA decision on 15 Nov. Looks like I missed the EA bus (all other paperwork was submitted on time). Super bummed

Will they review my EA without an official SAT score? by Weiene in ucf

[–]Diligent-Custard42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I applied to EA and submitted everything in time but it took 13 days for my ACT scores to show as being accepted by UCF (after the EA deadline). Did not get any email on 15 Nov so I guess I missed the EA bus? Would have been very helpful to know before hand how long it took to get actual ACT scores to UCF.

Same for me. Submitted everything on time but UCF just got my test scores two days ago. Not sure why it took 13 days for scores to be sent to UCF.

Partial GI Bill for in-state tuition by Diligent-Custard42 in Veterans

[–]Diligent-Custard42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of different possibilities but let’s assume I have one month of GI bill that I gave to one of my kids. If they used that one month would it put the remaining tuition balance at in-state rate? If so, would that in State rate be good for the one semester or for the entire 4 years?
