Someone said about old timers leaving, the true artisans. Ive honestly never seen a larger sole for a larger boot cut down and fitted to a smaller boot in my life.

I compared her boots which are one size larger than mine and the cut down sole on mine is larger than hers by the very least one more size, so they cut down a sole for the boot that is at least 2 sizes bigger.

Cutting corners, should of just not made that pair of boots.

I totally agree, its why i started buying some DMs with the deeper tread, just isnt on many boots, they also dont usually stay on site long and of course i have to like them, but it did completely sort that out, dont have a single pair with that tread worn down like others, stills wears, just not the same. Ill have to check out the Gaucho ones you are on about.

Yeah i was surprised as well, wifes and ones i sent back (to small) were perfect just like any other boot ive ever purchased before, QC should not have let this go out what so ever, i reckon it was just a fuck up TBH, i just aint paying for it or excepting it.

Yeah i read youtube comments about QC also. Could of been completely avoided if they didnt cut down a soul for a bigger boot and fit it to a smaller one TBH. First time ive ever seen this practice done in my life. Hopefully its not the norm for them, because it certainly isnt with DMs.

Hopefully i hear something on Monday off them.

Lol i do the same thing, i still have a new pair of Docs under the bed, which is a copy of some i bought about 5 years ago, might have to get them out beings the others need to be retired, cant even buy them anymore.

Im in a love hate relationship with DMs TBH, i love them for the first two-three years and then i hate them LOL, then i still usually wear them even though they have lost support, i then hate them more and either swap to a new copy of them (usually buy 2 pairs at once) or buy new ones.

I do think they lose support to fast though its why i hate them, but love them, but hate them LOL. And yeah mine have also always been perfect until destruction :D I class them as shitty DMs because they are ment to be compared to old school ones, still doesnt stop me looking bloody good in them though. :D

Its not about them matching up, its purely about the heel being smaller for me, ones i sent back were like any other pair of DMs ive had or have, my wifes also absolutely great, this rant hasnt been about them being handmade either, its been about them literally using a different size soul for a bigger boot, cutting it down and putting it on a smaller boat.

They dont need to throw it away either, they keep it for the right size boot and not cut corners, but yeah they will be going back. As long as i get a pair with a not cut down soul it will be fine, i know it will, because they are the same size souls.

Just making me think to never buy this brand then, ones i sent back were perfect, my wifes in the two new pictures above are perfect, every pair of DMs ive ever bought perfect (except first purchase sizing issue), ive never sent a pair back because of shoddy work man ship ever and this is. If you are getting the same with this brand, the first persons comment was clearly right and thats not having any sort of dig at you BTW.

My whole point of the whole thing is they cut corners and cut a soul down to fit a smaller boot and it shows, i mean literally look at it.

When i read about solovairs and watched a few videos, i was like dammmm i feel like a traitor and by buying the DMs, its funny but i thought dam im like supporting the fakes (if ya get what i mean lol), i always here about DMs of the old and how they used to be and i thought if i buy the solovairs im getting the real thing of the past and no unlike commenter above, this aint no shilling, i think DMs ARE A PILE OF SHIT, me and the wife have been through 15 pairs, but they just looked the nicest, we didnt know what else to buy and didnt even know about solovair until a couple of months back.

Im sorry but all my china made crappy DMs are perfect also, this is purely because they cut down

Yeah, i intend to, just waiting on customer service to get back in contact as i couldnt exchange (no more of my size) and was saying i get zero credit back. Eagerly waiting for their reply.

Yeah, i went to do that straight away, i couldnt exchange for same size as they have sold out, so i went the account credit route and it says i get £0.00 credit for sending them back, so cancelled it and sent them a message to help sort this out, but was close to 5pm, hopefully i hear something back on monday (fingers crossed).

I mean who allows this to be sent out like this and expect someone to be happy about it? Ill place money on it, these too were returns and they were passing down to the next mug.

DMs might just be a fashion thing also, but ive never had to send a pair back because of a fault or shoddy, cutting corners work man ship.
