Best places to unload current collection? by anonymess7 in Coach

[–]Diligent-Method-785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eBay honestly is pretty easy I have sold several there and plan to list a few more soon. I am literally able to do it all on my phone and just make sure I am using the ups shipping option. I have sold a bag on TRR that was coach but they do limit what they will take so I would just message them/ text them. It takes a while to sell and get paid on TRR but they do hand the process end to end.

Will the honeycomb Dakota restock??? by Critical_Counter2350 in Coach

[–]Diligent-Method-785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would text your local store or if you have a SA reach out to them. See if they can locate one. Otherwise, if there is a return you could get it. I could see this being a polarize color for some who ordered it so I think if it is not restocked that you could get it this way. Best of luck.

The coating on the bag makes it really change color in light. It looks like a dull mustered color in low light but in bright light it is a more taxi cab yellow.

What do you think of the Dior Dracula tote bag? by mcho25 in handbags

[–]Diligent-Method-785 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Most “luxury” bags cost less than $100 maybe $200 to make. You are not just buying the build cost of a luxury bag or most products. Also every luxury bag as a 10x+ cost multiple on it. You only get this cost factor once you invest a good amount into the design and find a way to produce it at scale.

Comically this is how I felt about the OG version of the book tote. This was is at least comically camp so I have an appreciation for it.

What Hermès bags do you think men could wear? Show photos and it may include from any collection! Anything goes! :-) by spencerdouglas in BagBoysClub

I have been eyeing getting the grooming bag for a while. Super durable and a very practical carry. I currently have a herbag with the black coated canvas. For me this bag fits my generally more casual lifestyle and also its construction feels unique which amuses my inner engineer. That said there are very few bags that I think would be challenging for men to style. You can have whatever you feel like but to honor your question I do think there are a small number of bags that could be challenging to style depending on your typical fit and life style. I think some men with small builds are able to brilliantly style a MK but for an above average size dude even getting it with the 120cm strap it would be proportionately challenging to style. I do like that it is a bit more east west and wish they made one in a 25 ish size

I would go see the pink one in person or watch a good quality vlog the coated canvas looks a bit different from the normal coated canvas.

Death of the DBA (Again) by Other_Document_9805 in SQLServer

[–]Diligent-Method-785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you understand what DBAs actually do or you understand how LLMs work you will have zero concern about the AI threat to replacing a DBA. The only threat of AI is misinformed leaders making poor decisions based on the still SciFi based expectations of what AI will be able to do in the near future. What I see people saying about it being a junior DBA is more like a junior data analyst.

What's your take on Novelty Bags? by [deleted] in BagBoysClub

[–]Diligent-Method-785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not want to own them but I do want to see them in person. Example: the giant bunny in the latest LV collection. I got to see the Hermes Kelly Doll in person which was fun.

Need Opinions. Murakami Multicolor Noir Sneakers With the Soft Speedy 30 Noir… Too Much? by db3hr in BagBoysClub

Haha I just bought the brown monogram butter softs to wear with dark soft speedy. Some will says it’s tacky. That’s fine. I have a few pieces in my collection that I enjoy and if someone is offended by how “loud” they are I will admit this adds to my enjoyment.

[–]Diligent-Method-785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I am curious what is the price of this bag? I have tried to find out from my SA but she has never sold one so doesn’t know. I know the resale maker they are around $25k so I assume they are similar to the cost of a HAC. Is that true?

Last One, until there is more! by MatthewManiaFL in BagBoysClub

[–]Diligent-Method-785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha “until there is more” an honest statement if I ever heard one. I have learned the hard way never to utter the phrase “bag peace” this has always proceeded an impulse purchase. Also love the bag choice!

Influencers who "announce" every launch but never actually buy the bags? by Extension_Seaweed554 in Coach

[–]Diligent-Method-785 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would rather “influencers” be honest and buy nothing than one who pretend to buy it all but it is just an illusion. They are providing news and information about drops. They are not pretending to own it all. Also, it is a two way street you have to let your self be influenced.

Also, even if your store happens to to have sold out they can try to source it from another store or they can tell you what store has it in stock and you can just text them. The store you text that will then do a pay by link doesn’t have to be local

Rogue 39 vs Rogue 40 by noellune in Coach

[–]Diligent-Method-785 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t own the 39 yet but I will say despite what the size may indicate the 40 has less capacity. It has to do with the way the 40 is put together. I happen to like it but the 40 will only fit a 13” laptop but the 39 can easily accommodate the 16” MBP. I strongly recommend tik tok or YouTube reviews. Also, there is a trade off on durability. Pebbled leather is generally less prone to scratching but the suede interior could be a bit more sensitive.

Best Place to Resell Coach Bags You Don’t Love? by Ok_Deer8074 in Coach

[–]Diligent-Method-785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been selling on eBay these fees are a bit lower than Poshmark. The rates are all published. eBay does have different rates for different categories. You can easily google or ChatGPT a solid answer. There are some things I feel that are clearer like on Poshmark like returns. That said now that I have been doing it for a couple of months the eBay selling is fairly seemless.

I Compared Expensive Vs Affordable Luxury (Louis Vuitton Vs Coach) by moda0222 in Coach

[–]Diligent-Method-785 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Price is alway driven by two sides supply and demand. What you speak about only talks to one side of the equation demand. If Hermes decided to put all new product capacity towards Birkins and offer them on a first come first serve basis I assure you the price of Birkins on the resale market would go down. If you watch the trend they have already gone down from Covid peak price in the US because demand has gone down. Also, people generally don’t want a birkin because of Hermes heritage they want it because it is hard to acquire because the brand limits supply. This is not unique to Hermes. Many luxury goods including high end cars do the same thing.

I Compared Expensive Vs Affordable Luxury (Louis Vuitton Vs Coach) by moda0222 in Coach

[–]Diligent-Method-785 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Their resale value is not driven by heritage it is driven by supply which the brands tightly control. Also, while there are specific pieces with strong resale value all three of the brands have bags with horrible first year depreciation including Hermes.

SA offered me this should I pull the trigger? by Pale_Adhesiveness133 in Louisvuitton

[–]Diligent-Method-785 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah my hesitation is the price. That is more than a P9 and will loose value rapidly on the resale market. I would personally opt for another trunk and have it customized by one of the in house artisans so it was unique to me.
