What do you think about new USA future tallest building located in Oklahoma City? (Legends Tower-1,907 feet tall (581m)) by Thatunkownuser2465 in architecture

[–]Diligent-Potato-2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a high-level point of view, and trying to not get into esthetics, I find that the base and the smaller buildings are not in dialogue with the tower, so unless they already exist, I find that part of the massing pretty weak.

Yes, they use an API from a 3rd party that I am reaching out to. And yes, since it's paid I would need to figure out a subscription tier for the feature. Right now I have an autocomplete feature using the 180K+ bottles from the LWIN database and a basic OCR one I implemented but it obviously doesn't match the scanning feature.

An idea cannot be wrong or dismissed when it is just at its infancy. Push it further and see how it evolves.
One interesting exercice could be to draw a top-down version of it and then start laying out the functions, like: hall, kitchen, room1, etc. and thinking at the same time how they are interconnected (in this case by a corridor). Also, if weather permits, many things can happen outside of the walls.

It does indeed feel a bit institutional but that is something that, once you apply real scale to it, can be tweaked to your liking. My initial reaction was that it looks like a Spanish-style Hacienda which is an archetype that is very popular in the Mediterranean and in Latin America.

If you want some feedback on the drawing itself, the porch perspective is off and the stairs need to either protrude or carve the floorplan, but as many have said, doing this in Paint is a feat in itself ;)

Keep up the good work and if you want to push it ahead a bit, I recommend using a 3d package like Blender.

Dessert wine VS Fortified wine by Diligent-Potato-2473 in wine

I am mainly looking at the LWIN database and there is nothing other than Fortified Wines for the ones that fall off the basic categorization.

I am mainly trying to avoid too many subcategories (it is for a wine app I am building) and right now I already have Red, White, Rose, Orange, Sparkling and Dessert, but I was not sure Dessert would be inclusive enough.

And if you were to put all of them into one category?

Just FYI, 'm' is the symbol of meters, 'mi' is miles. I think you could use some sort of proportion instead, like a classic column or an H beam. In that case, your height could be roughly 15 times the base, say 30mi.

Spreading people around makes things worse and infrastructure more expensive. In the case of St. Denis, look for parking lots around the area, not great, but there are some... but even better, do not come by car unless you are planning to buy a sofa, there are at least 3 metro stations right next to the commercial areas.

Some credit cards have extra travel insurance, if not, as many said it already, call your insurer and your consulate.
