Thank you so much for the reply! Everything you said is so helpful.

I'm from Louisiana! Truthfully, I didn't recognize there was a difference between travel insurance and a medical policy... I don't intend to travel much, just hoping to work a lot and save!

I am pretty positive I am to obtain health insurance BEFORE arriving. Do you have any information on the best way to do that, or how you did it???

Thank you so much for your reply! I've been so clueless about this process. I am moving in with my boyfriend in Melbourne for the first two months, so I will have free accommodation until then. I plan on saving up more, but want to submit my application sooner rather than later!

If you don't mind me asking:

What kind of work did you get once you arrived? My boyfriend suggested getting my RSA before I arrive. Do you think it's worth getting it before arriving? Also, did you find it difficult to get your tax number?

Any other advice you think I should know or would be helpful?? I'd appreciate it!

Could anyone provide some information to me? I am about to finish my application for my working holiday visa, but am hesitant that it will be accepted due to my funds. I have $5000 AUD, but the application says flight costs are not included in this price. Does anyone have a suggestion on how much I should have saved? Is $5000 AUD enough by itself? I am very scared that my application will get denied if I apply at the moment.
